Gosar to Dr. Fauci: BUH-BYE! America has had enough of Dr. Fauci’s lies. This week, I called on Mr. Biden to fire Fauci for repeatedly misleading and lying to the American people about COVID-19. Dr. Fauci testified this past Tuesday before the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services that he directed $600,000 in taxpayers’ money to a lab in Wuhan, China to study whether bats could transmit coronavirus to humans. This contradicts Dr. Fauci’s previous testimony under oath at a Senate Committee hearing on May 12 that no taxpayer dollars were directed to fund research in Wuhan. Dr. Fauci has repeatedly mislead the American people during this pandemic including saying that COVID-19 it was not transmissible by vapor, only surface contact. Then he said it was both. Today he says is only vapor, not surface contact. Fauci once said COVID-19 was not very contagious. Now he says it is super contagious. He said masks don’t help but then he mandated masks, urging they be doubled when worn. He falsely required all deaths to be recorded as COVID-19 deaths for anyone who died if there was a detected virus, even if the death was an accident or heart attack. This greatly inflated our numbers.
Now, Dr. Fauci has perjured himself before the United States Congress. Fauci must be held accountable for his stream of lies over the past year. It’s time for Mr. Biden to fire Dr. Fauci. Click here to read a copy of my press release urging Mr. Biden fire Dr. Fauci. |

Gosar Introduces MERIT Act to End Affirmative Action in Federal Hiring This week, I introduced the Making Excellence Replace Identity Traits (MERIT) Act, legislation that would prohibit government sanctioned racial bigotry by ensuring that no federal funds are provided to any entity that has established a hiring program that uses affirmative action employment preferences as a basis for hiring. Eradicating the scourge of racial hatred is a priority for the country. Hiring decisions in the federal government should be based on the merit of the job applicant rather than quotas based on race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin or ethnicity. The people deserve competency and merit, not racial or other bigotry, when the government hires someone. It is long past time to end government sanctioned racial discrimination. The MERIT Act promotes equal opportunity for all applicants. To learn more about the MERIT Act, click here to read a copy of my press release. |

Gosar Participates in Border Crisis Forum On Thursday, I participated in a House Natural Resources Republican Oversight Forum examining the impacts of the ongoing crisis along the southern border. The Biden-created border crisis continues to rage out of control. April saw a record number of border apprehensions, 179,000. April apprehensions were greater than March apprehensions. March apprehensions were more than February apprehensions. If this pattern holds, May apprehensions will be greater than April apprehensions. Mr. Biden’s open border policies have also led to massive drug smuggling. In fact, more fentanyl has been seized in the first four months of the Biden Administration than all of 2020. For all of Mr. Biden’s talk of caring for the environment, illegal immigration is killing it. Each illegal alien that crosses the border leaves six to eight pounds of trash along the Arizona-Mexico border. In the past three months, Customs and Border Protection released 61,000 illegal immigrants into our country. Where they go is anyone’s guess. In fact, when asked this week if the Department of Homeland Security knows where illegal immigrants released into the country are, Secretary Mayorkas admitted there’s too many illegal immigrants to “know and track.” By comparison, 18 illegal immigrants were released during President Trump’s last full month in office. If it isn’t clear, the border is wide open, folks.

Gosar Joins the Old Glory Only Act The American flag is a symbol of our democracy, and it flies over all government buildings, including U.S. embassies abroad. Unfortunately, the Biden Administration reversed a policy enacted by President Trump banning all flags other than the American flag from flying over U.S. Embassies. In response, this week, I cosponsored H.R. 85, the Old Glory Only Act which prohibits hate-America flags from being flown over American embassies. Government buildings are no place for making divisive political statements and this common-sense legislation would ensure that only Old Glory flies over our embassies. |

Minerals are Critical! This week, I joined several Arizona mining industry leaders and participated in a mining industry roundtable and toured the Pinto Valley Mine in Gila County. Did you know that there are 35 minerals deemed critical by the United States Geological Survey? Critical minerals are metals and non-metals that are vital to the economic well-being of our country and our way of life. Almost every modern convenience is dependent upon these minerals. Items like solar panels, wind power turbines, electric vehicles, drones, fighter jets, combat equipment, batteries and lighting all require critical minerals. Yet global challenges, including scarcity, sourcing, production and the threat posed by international monopolies put their supply at risk. Over decades, our nation has not kept pace with foreign mineral producers, forcing the United States to rely on others for many of our key mineral needs. We must find ways to improve our ability to develop minerals domestically. We know we need these minerals, and we know they should be sourced in America. We also know how to mine in the United States, we have the best workforce and the strongest environmental protections. I’ve started a new series of videos called Mineral Mondays to discuss the importance of these critical minerals and highlight why every American should have a clear understanding of what minerals we use and why we need them. Check out my first Mineral Monday video by clicking above! |

It’s outrageous that China blatantly steals American research and innovation which often goes directly to the Chinese Communist Party to help fuel the rise of its military and economy. To protect our technological edge, I cosponsored the Safeguarding U.S. Research Act to increase transparency about the numbers of foreign students in the United States and their research activity. This legislation puts in place safeguards to crack down on the rampant theft of American research and technology by requiring research funding applicants certify their compliance with U.S. laws and disclose their foreign ties on the federal grant application. Woke, left wing extremism is attempting to enter all aspects of American life, including our military. Our military has a long history of rising above politics while defending our freedoms and protecting American citizens. That legacy is now in jeopardy because the Department of Defense has begun relieving servicemembers who will not affirm far-left, Marxist doctrines now being pushed on our military. In response, I joined several of my colleagues in sending a letter to the Secretary of Defense Department urging he use his authority to take actions to fight back against left-wing extremism. |

(25) Have ye offered unto me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel?
King James Version Change your email Bible version
The giving of the law at Mount Sinai was the climax of a series of events that began at Passover, the moment and the means of the Israelites’ redemption. At Passover they killed a lamb and put the blood on their doorposts. When the death angel passed through to slay the firstborn, those who had blood on the doorposts were spared. Godwas saving, redeeming, buying back His people.
Mount Sinai adds the other half of the equation. Though redemption through the blood of a lamb (Christ) freed them from sin’s dominion and death, the giving of the law at Mount Sinai shows that freeing them is not all that God had in mind. Israel came to Mount Sinai after being redeemed, heard the law, and assented to keep it. God gave the law to show the pattern of life, the principles of righteousness, for the redeemed.
On one side of the coin is grace and on the other is law and obedience. They are harmonious; they cannot be separated. They are both vital parts of the process of sanctification leading to salvation. Grace is given upon repentance from sin, but after repentance, what is a Christian to do with his life? Obedience to God and living a life of holiness become his first priorities, and these work to produce character in the image of God (II Corinthians 3:18).
Amos 5:25 reconfirms that the sacrifice, offering, and shedding of blood is a foundational necessity for a relationship with God. “Did you offer Me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel?” The answer is, “Yes.” The people were sacrificing, but is that all that they did? He implies that though they were sacrificing, something was missing—obedience to the law.
God told Israel that He would dwell in the Tabernacle, specifically the Holy of Holies, the symbolism of which we need to understand. The most important piece of furniture inside the Holy of Holies was the Mercy Seat, a wooden chest overlaid with gold. Its lid functioned as the seat. Inside the chest, under the seat, were stored the two tablets of stone, symbolizing God sitting on His law, the basis of His judgment.
When one sins, he begins to separate himself from fellowship with God (Isaiah 59:1-2). He is no longer permitted, as it were, to come into the Holy of Holies. What means did God provide to heal the broken relationship, to restore the fellowship?
One might think that the giving of a sin offering would appease God, and He would forgive the sin. However, Hebrews 10:4 is very clear: “For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.” Then why did God have the Israelites make these sacrifices? “But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year” (verse 3). As Amos does not mention the sin offering in Amos 5:22, it seems that Israel did not even make the attempt to be reminded of sin.
So how was fellowship restored? On the Day of Atonement, once a year, the high priest entered the Holy of Holies to sprinkle the Mercy Seat with blood. God’s intent in this ritual was to show people that their transgressions of His law were covered by the blood. The redeemed were again in fellowship with God.
The blood and the law are essential parts for maintaining the correct relationship with God. The law is permanent and codifies the nature of God in precepts to help us understand Him clearly. Obedience to His law is a perpetual requirement, with blood available to cover any transgression of it.
