	Biden Creates Baby Formula Shortage Who would have thought the United States of America would suffer food shortages, including baby formula, empty shelves, hyper-inflation, GDP decline, and rampant crime 16 months after having the best economy in our lifetimes? None of us would have thought that the Biden Regime and its democrat policies could destroy the greatest economy we’ve ever had under President Trump (super low inflation, an abundance of food, low energy prices and cheap gas, and record growth in GDP) to a socialist disaster a year and a half later. But they did.  And as I have often said, you would really have to be trying to screw things up this badly.  Sadly, their reckless policies are intentional and Americans are experiencing the cruel consequences. Everywhere that socialist democrats govern they destroy the country.  Venezuela.  Cuba.  And now they are hell-bent on destroying America.  I am more determined than ever to fight these socialists and take back our country.   Don’t let the democrat socialists in America do to American babies what they did in Venezuela.   This picture from ABC shows a starving and malnourished Venezuelan baby.   Like the United States, Venezuela has more than enough farm land to feed its people.   But the socialist government there has created shortages, chaos and starvation. I shared in last weekend’s newsletter the lunacy of what democrats referred to as “baby formula” legislation they brought to the House floor for a vote.  If you missed it, don’t fret.  You’ll definitely want to read it by clicking here. Pressed for time?  Here’s a short summary: Joe Biden knew all about the formula shortage for seven months but did absolutely nothing to increase formula production or clear the FDA bottleneck that we responsible for the shortage.  So, Congress passed two feel-good bills to spends millions of more taxpayer dollars that have zero, absolutely zero chance of increasing baby formula production. Mockingly referred to as baby formula bills all they really did was fund bureaucrats and give them more money.   Not one bottle of baby formula will be created because of the democrat “formula” bills.  Not one. Nevertheless, they will give raises and bonuses to bureaucrats.  Any Member of Congress can issue a torrid of press releases claiming they “solved” the formula crisis.  Don’t get duped.  I know you won’t. Even the mainstream Fake News is sick of the democrat socialist failures.  When CNN and MSNBC call you out as a democrat, you should take some lipstick and write a big “F” on the mirror—for failure.   Check this out: CNN’s Dana Bash: “How did we get to the point where the United States of America has to airlift baby formula from another country in order to feed its children?” CNN’s Jake Tapper: “The recall in Abbott happened back in February. President Biden only invoked the Defense Production Act last week.” Tapper: “This is hardly the first time that there’s this slow-rolling anticipated disaster happening exactly as forewarned.” MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski: “I’m not feeling an intensity. Do you want to know where there is not a baby formula crisis? In Poland on the border [with Ukraine].” MSNBC’s Willie Geist: “Contrary to what we’ve heard, this didn’t just sneak up on people. This has been many months in the making.” MSNBC’s Katy Tur: “The Abbott [plant] closed in February – February!” ABC’s Martha Raddatz: “The White House said they’d been working on this for months and months but it didn’t appear that way.” CBS News’ Margaret Brennan: “This has been ongoing for months…whistleblower in September, February the recall. It’s May. Why has it taken so long?” NBC News’ Kristen Welker: Joe Biden is “facing fierce criticism for what many are calling a slow response to the crisis that’s been brewing for months.” Biden was warned. He did nothing. Now – in the United States of America –mothers are waiting on tarmacs for baby formula so they can feed their babies. Now, about that shipment of baby formula that was airlifted by the Air Force into the United States from Europe:  WHAT A MADE-FOR-HOLLYWOOD-STUNT.  A mere 78,000 pounds of formula arrived.  Sounds like a lot, right?  Nope.  Hardly. The shipment was enough to feed just 9,000 babies for one week.  To put that into perspective, there are four million newborn and babies in America.   I’m just a doctor, but something tells me that Joe Biden may have taken a premature victory lap. This Week With Gosar WASHINGTON D.C. – Top stories… CDC Admits it Overcounted Child COVID-19 Deaths – OOPS! You may remember last month I shared a story on how the Center for Disease Control (CDC) withheld valuable data on hospitalizations due to COVID-19 in the United States broken down by age, race, and vaccination status, a failure that critics say worsened the pandemic response. Well, the deception continues.  But I am not surprised, nor should you be.  The CDC and Dr. Fauci have been lying to the American people for two years.  This week, the CDC admitted they overcounted pediatric COVID-19 deaths by nearly 25%.  They claim the mistake was caused by a “coding error.” Why is this bad?  For one, health policies were made by states and the federal government based of the CDC’s erroneous data.  The CDC then used the inaccurate data to push their unscientific mask mandates, recommending that all children under the age of two should be masked and claiming that schools without mask mandates have triple the risk of COVID-19 outbreaks.   They just make this garbage up. More lies. And there will be many, many more. Speaking of the CDC… This week I cosponsored H.J.Res.72 a Congressional Review Act resolution disapproving of the CDC’s mask mandates on planes, buses and trains.  The masks most people wear, including surgical masks, do nothing to stop viruses.  In fact, it was for that reason Dr. Fauci told Americans initially not to wear masks.  The COVID virus is about .125 microns. The best available masks, the n-95, can block .300 micron-sized particles and bigger.  Thus, the permeation for the best mask available is almost three times the size of the virus. That being said, wear a mask if you want to.  It’s your choice.  But the federal government should not be mandating their usage. Hunter Biden’s Laptop Was Real The Fake Media, Big Tech and their Democrat partners spent years lying about President Trump to the American people. They worked tirelessly and in concert to bury a true and accurate story by the New York Post that a laptop abandoned in Delaware repair shop belonged to Joe Biden’s son, Hunter. Why does this matter?  The laptop has been reported to have emails establishing bribery and corruption between Ukraine officials and the Bidens, including large sums of money. In short, the laptop has evidence of potential criminal activity by Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.  It is a major scandal unprecedented in the annals of our history. Just one month before the 2020 presidential election, 51 intelligence officials, all Democrat operatives, signed a letter casting doubt over the legitimacy of the laptop and claimed, with no evidence, that laptop was consistent with Russian objectives. Twitter banned the story.  Politico reported it as “Russian misinformation.”  Mark Zuckerberg claimed it was a “hack and leak operation.”  NPR discredited the story’s “many, many red flags.” Guess what?  It was true. All of it.  And the liberal Fake News, over a year later, is finally admitting that Hunter’s laptop is legitimate. Our intelligence community is supposed to be a nonpartisan group of top spies looking out for the best interest of our country.  On the contrary, the Deep State once again tried to sabotage their political enemies, in this case it was Donald Trump.  There have been no consequences for these lies. No apologies given.  No shame or remorse by any of the 51 spooks. In response, this week I became an original cosponsor of the Spook Who Cried Wolf Resolution, offered by Congressman Matt Gaetz of Florida.  This resolution demands that the 51corrupt intelligence spies be barred from holding security clearances.  They all should be hauled before Congress to answer questions for deception. Gosar Sponsors Legislation Ending Surprise Billing for Veterans This week, I cosponsored the Emergency Community Care Notification Time Adjustment Act, important legislation that would change the requirement to notify the Veterans Affairs (VA) of emergency treatment provided by a community care partner or health care facility outside of the VA from 72 hours after admittance to 72 hours after discharge. Under current regulations, veterans and eligible dependents can get reimbursed under VA Community Care for emergency medical care if they notify the VA within 72 hours of their admission to a medical facility. Unfortunately, veterans and spouses, especially in major medical or grief episodes, too often get saddled with major medical debt if they don’t navigate the bureaucracy fast enough. This bill would provide veterans more time to notify the VA, allowing them and their families to focus on their health and recovery. Biden Finally Visits the Border! Faithful Gosar Newsletter readers know that I have repeatedly been to the southern border to view firsthand the crisis created by Mr. Biden’s reckless open border policies.  I even organized an outing to clean up all the rubbish and needles littered all over the ground.  I have also invited Mr. Biden to the border so he can see the invasion his administration is encouraging. Well, this week, Joe Biden at long last made the trip to the border.  Sadly, it was the Ukrainian-Polish border. 150,000 Russian troops invaded Ukraine last month and I pray the war ends and for peace.  By comparison, 150,000 or more lawbreakers have invaded our southern border every month for the past 12 months.  Border officials are expecting more than 200,000 illegals will cross our southern border in March, up from 164,000 last month.   Where is Joe Biden?  He’s in Poland. Dick Durbin, a Democratic Senator from Illinois calls Senior Citizens the Greediest Generation as he compared “Social Security” to a ‘Milk Cow with 310 million teats.’  Here’s a response in a letter from Patty Nye from Illinois.  I think she is a little ticked off!  She also tells it like it is!

“Hey Dick — Let’s get a few things straight!!“

1. As a career politician, you have been on the public dole (tit) for FORTY YEARS.

2. I have been paying Social Security taxes for 48 YEARS (since I was 15 years old. I am now 63).

3. My Social Security payments, and those of millions of other Americans, were safely tucked away in an interest-bearing account for decades until you political pukes decided to raid the account and give OUR money to a bunch of zero losers in return for votes, thus bankrupting the system and turning Social Security into a Ponzi scheme that would make Bernie Madoff proud.

4. Recently, like Lucy & Charlie Brown, you and “your ilk” pulled the proverbial football away from millions of American Seniors nearing retirement and moved the goal posts for full retirement from age 65 to age 67.  NOW, you and your “shill commission” are proposing to move the goal posts YET AGAIN.

5. I, and millions of other Americans, have been paying into Medicare from Day One, and now “you morons” propose to change the rules of the game.  Why?  Because “you idiots” mismanaged other parts of the economy to such an extent that you need to steal our money from Medicare to pay the bills.

6. I, and millions of other Americans, have been paying income taxes our entire lives, and now you propose to increase our taxes yet again.  Why?  Because you “incompetent bastards” spent our money so profligately that you just kept on spending even after you ran out of money.  Now, you come to the American taxpayers and say you need more to pay off YOUR debt.  To add insult to injury, you label us “greedy” for calling “bullshit” to your incompetence.  Well, Captain Bullshit, I have a few questions for YOU:

a. How much money have you earned from the American taxpayers during your pathetic 40+ year political career?

b. At what age will you retire from your pathetic political career, and how much will you receive in annual retirement benefits from the American taxpayers?

c. How much do you pay for YOUR government provided health insurance?

d. What cuts in YOUR retirement and healthcare benefits are you proposing in your disgusting deficit reduction proposal, or as usual, have you exempt yourself and your political cronies?  

It is you, Captain Bullshit, and your political co-conspirators called “Congress” who are the “green” ones.  It is you and your fellow nutcase thieves who have bankrupted America and stolen the American dream from millions of loyal, patriotic taxpayers – and for what?  Votes and your job and retirement security at our expense, you lunk-headed leech!

          Thank you for contacting me about climate change and its effects on our environment and public health. As a former Navy pilot, combat veteran and retired NASA astronaut, it is an honor to continue my service to our country representing Arizona in the United States Senate. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts on the issues facing our state and our country. Hearing from Arizonans helps me better serve our state, and I hope you will continue to share your perspectives and suggestions.

          Data from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) shows that the planet’s average surface temperature has increased by more than two degrees and ocean temperatures have warmed by at least one degree in the past century. This has caused ice sheets and glaciers to shrink, sea levels to rise, reduced snowfall, worsened ocean acidification, and resulted in more extreme weather events. In Arizona, this means twice as many days over 100 degrees in Phoenix, which could endanger Arizona’s economy, by the next century. Longer and more severe droughts will hurt Arizona’s access to clean water and pose increased public health risks. I myself saw changes in our planet between my first and fourth flights to space while at NASA. Left unchecked, climate change poses a threat to Arizona’s economy and our way of life, but as one of the nation’s leading producers of renewable energy, this is also an opportunity for Arizona to take a leadership role in addressing climate change that could lead to  economic growth and more good paying jobs.

          I’m committed to finding commonsense, bipartisan solutions to address our changing climate and have introduced several pieces of legislation with my Republican and Democrat colleagues that would address specific aspects of climate change. That’s why I introduced S. 2318, the Demand-Response Management Act of 2021, which would improve the reliability of our electric grid, while reducing emissions, and why I introduced S. 1672, the ROCKS Act, which would foster the use of locally-sourced, climate friendly building materials in infrastructure projects. I also worked closely with my colleague, Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) to introduce S. 2150, the Wildland Fire Mitigation and Management Commission Act, which would require the federal government to study and make recommendations to improve worsening wildfires, often made more severe by climate change, in the western United States. And, as a member of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, I helped to shape and introduce S. 914, the Drinking Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Act, which provides more than $35 billion for water infrastructure projects and will help address drought conditions in Arizona.

          I also worked for months with a bipartisan group of Senators to write and pass the landmark Infrastructure Investments and Jobs Act that will put Arizonans to work upgrading our most critical infrastructure. Our bipartisan infrastructure bill will expand Arizona’s transit, fix roads, modernize our ports of entry, improve our aging water infrastructure and bring much-needed high-speed internet to our rural and tribal communities. Most importantly, this bill is going to bring high-paying jobs to our state and ensure that it remains the best place to live, work and grow. It also included the text of the Demand-Response Management Act, the ROCKS Act, the Wildland Fire Mitigation and Management Commission Act, and the Drinking Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Act. I also fought to include critical investments to help combat climate change and make future infrastructure more resilient, including securing more than $250 million to help implement the Lower Colorado River Drought Contingency Plan, $7.5 billion for electric vehicle charging infrastructure, $7.5 billion for clean and zero-emission school busses, $8.7 billion for the new PROTECT grant program, which funds transportation projects that will reduce carbon emissions and promote resiliency, and more than $47 billion in other efforts, including efforts to promote resiliency to wildfires, floods, droughts, and other extreme weather events. On August 10, 2021, I voted in favor of this bill when the Senate passed it by a bipartisan vote of 69 to 30. And on November 15, 2021, I was proud to be in attendance at the White House, along with both Republican and Democratic senators and local officials from Arizona, while President Biden signed this legislation into law.  

          I’m proud to have delivered these historic investments that respond to the growing threats posed by a changing climate, and I know more must be done. As  a member of both the Senate Committees on Environment and Public Works (EPW) and Energy and Natural Resources (ENR), I will continue to work on legislation that makes investments in clean energy and transportation, and climate change mitigation. As Arizonans, we understand the risks associated with longer and hotter summers, prolonged droughts, and worsening forest fires, and the economic benefits and job growth that renewable energy can bring to our state.
