This is so dangerous. Michigan GOP candidate for AG Matt DePerno is ready to ban emergency contraception (the Plan B pill) if elected.

Donald Trump’s handpicked candidate for Michigan AG was caught talking on mic about an outrageous new front to the GOP’s war on reproductive health care: banning Plan B. In his own words, “You gotta figure out how you ban the pill from the state.” This adds to his dangerous record on abortion and other reproductive rights, including his belief in no exceptions for abortion.

Across the country, Republicans up and down the ballot are making their plans clear – they’re ready to push for a national abortion ban while also plotting to ban emergency contraception. There’s so much at stake, and with a candidate like Chris Mann, we’re confident we can fight back against GOP extremist Kris Kobach and flip the Kansas AG seat blue.

Earlier this summer, Kansans spoke out against an outrageous attack on their constitutional freedoms and reproductive rights. They loudly stated that the GOP’s attempts to tell patients what they can and can’t do with their bodies won’t be tolerated – and Chris Mann was proud to stand with them in that fight. He has sworn that his office would never attack reproductive rights, while his GOP opponent, Kris Kobach, supports a total abortion ban.

We know Chris Mann will protect Kansans and their rights. We need your help, Peter, to make sure voters turn out in record numbers once again to defeat extremism. If you can, chip in $10 to help support challengers like Chris Mann who will do the right thing in their states!

Unlike Kris Kobach, a career politician, Chris Mann isn’t running for AG for political reasons. Chris has dedicated his life to public service. As a police officer, he was injured by a drunk driver during a routine traffic stop and his career in uniform came to an abrupt end. Chris chose to continue to fight crime and advocate for Kansans, as a prosecutor and a safe-driving advocate. He is the complete opposite of his Big Lie-peddling, anti-abortion opponent – we can’t let Kris Kobach win!
