At approximately 5:01 a.m. ET, before the sun crested the Atlantic Ocean, 28 Starlink internet satellites launched into orbit from Cape Canaveral, Florida.

This particular rocket, Falcon 9, had already made the flight more than 20 times. And those 28 satellites joined the nearly 8,000 already in orbit around the globe.

These SpaceX launches occur on a near-weekly basis. And the implications for the future of communication – and for investors with an eye toward the future – should not be overlooked.

Starlink’s satellite-based internet connectivity is redefining how we communicate – providing fast, reliable internet access to remote locations where traditional providers can’t reach and underserved populations where internet access was once impossible.

Stock No. 1: Enabling Space-Based Communication

Starlink provides internet to users in remote areas by connecting satellite and terrestrial networks. Another little-known company is taking a similar approach to bridge the communication gaps in cellular service: AST SpaceMobile (ASTS).

MegaTrends members will know this name well – ASTS shares have more than doubled since we featured the stock in our November 2024 Election report.

What makes ASTS so special? Well, the typical cellphone relies on ground-based towers for service. Find yourself in a remote location – like our VP of Research Megan Brantley often does on her hikes through Red River Gorge – and you’ve found yourself in a precarious situation. (Especially if, like Megan, you have a toddler in tow.)

ASTS aims to solve this problem with a satellite network capable of linking directly with unmodified smartphones – essentially eliminating the need for separate hardware or service plans for satellite connectivity. The first and only network of its kind.

This isn’t just about using satellites for communication. It’s about integrating satellite connectivity into the existing mobile service ecosystem in a way that traditional satellite services, which often require specialized equipment or operate on different communication protocols, do not.

ASTS is in the build-out phase, but it’s already proved its potential, completing two-way broadband video calls with major carriers, including AT&T (T) and Verizon (VZ), using standard smartphones. Looking ahead, it has five contracted satellite launches scheduled over the next six to nine months and expects revenue of $50–75 million in the second half of 2025 as commercial service begins.

The company received a key FCC approval this year to trial direct-to-phone satellite service on FirstNet, extending coverage beyond cell towers for first responders – and keeping our front-line forces connected.

Making this opportunity all the more compelling, recent job listings and executive posts suggest Apple (AAPL) could be a silent partner. This is pure speculation. But if confirmed, ASTS would get a first-mover advantage in direct-to-device satellite coverage.

Either way, this company is positioning itself to provide critical infrastructure for distributed command platforms, civilian connectivity, and edge mobility.

Stock No. 2: Building Battlefield-Ready Autonomy

In aerospace, tactical edge innovation is driven by unmanned systems. The Pentagon’s Replicator initiative aims to deploy thousands of low-cost “attritable” drones by 2025, spurring demand for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) makers like AeroVironment (AVAV).

AeroVironment leads the U.S. military small-drone market with contract-backed systems already deployed. Its Switchblade loitering munitions have proven effective in live combat zones, while its next-gen tactical drones align with current Department of Defense (DoD) procurement priorities.

AeroVironment’s advantage lies in production readiness and software-guided flight autonomy at scale. The company recently launched three new products (P550, Jump 20X, Red Dragon) and is doubling Switchblade production capacity in Utah to support over $1 billion in annual revenue for its Loitering Munition Systems (LMS) business by fiscal 2027.

It’s also won major contracts, including a $990 million IDIQ ceiling with U.S. Army for Lethal Unmanned Systems, LASSO program awards, and Replicator Initiative funding.

LikeFolio data shows AeroVironment unique visits gaining 81% year over year, driven by buyer demand and investor interest…

Shares are trading in tandem, up more than 70% year to date as the defense segment (drones specifically) garner high interest.

But there’s plenty of runway ahead for AVAV. The United States leads the world in unmanned systems, accounting for nearly half of global revenue (+45%) in 2024, where the air-based platforms AeroVironment specializes in are absorbing the largest piece of the pie.

As defense budgets target loitering munitions, tactical drones, and autonomous systems, AeroVironment is positioned to capitalize on expanding demand both at home and abroad.

Stock No. 3: Powering Decision Infrastructure at the Edge

Edge computing and AI are converging to solve one of the biggest challenges in modern data infrastructure: how to turn real-time information into action without relying on distant cloud servers. This shift matters most where latency, bandwidth, and responsiveness directly impact outcomes.

Processing data at the edge reduces the need to transmit large volumes of information to centralized servers, enabling faster and more autonomous systems. The FY2025 defense budget increases funding for AI-powered platforms that support real-time data fusion and local decision-making.

Palantir (PLTR) is already delivering on this with TITAN, a ground station that combines satellite, radar, and sensor inputs to generate actionable intelligence on the ground – which the U.S. Army has rated a top-performing program.

Palantir’s Gotham and Apollo platforms are already embedded into U.S. and NATO defense networks, with NATO recently deploying Palantir’s AI-driven command systems across all 32 member states.

This is hardly an under-the-radar play. Explosive demand for Palantir’s flagship AIP platform, rising government AI spend, and sustained commercial expansion in the U.S. have driven shares 488% higher year over year.

Obama Implicated in Russia Hoax Scandal

This week, explosive documents were declassified showing that President Obama and his top officials actively worked to sabotage President Donald Trump during his first term in office. The documents reveal that top Obama administration officials including Hillary Clinton, John Ratcliffe, James Clapper and Loretta Lynch, possessed classified intelligence showing that Russian actors did not impact the 2016 election results, yet they kept it hidden. Instead, Obama’s FBI opened a full investigation alleging bogus collusion between the 2016 Trump campaign and Russia. None of this was true. The documents also note that President Barack Obama was “putting pressure on FBI Director James Comey through Attorney General Loretta Lynch” to wrap up the probe of Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server to receive highly classified information while secretary of state and received secret assurances she would not face criminal charges.

They all knew there was no collusion, yet they still pushed the lie. The result was years of a manufactured scandal that undermined President Trump’s first term. President Obama fabricated mountains of so-called evidence to destroy and smear Donald Trump with the disgusting lie that he was a “Russian Asset.”

President Obama and his senior officials subverted the will of the American people, undermined our democratic republic and attempted to enact a years-long coup against President Trump. Every single American should be outraged. This is one of the most egregious examples of political weaponization in American history, far worse than Watergate and more scandalous than Hillary Clinton’s emails.

Thankfully, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has blown the lid off the Obama administration’s scheme to frame President Trump. As a result, we now have explosive evidence proving what everyone knew: that President Obama, the corrupt Deep State and the Fake News worked in concert to bring down President Trump.

The false allegations that President Trump was supposedly working with the Russians was very harmful. For two years, the Trump Administration was hampered and bogged down by Robert Mueller’s completely weaponized investigation, which consumed enormous political and media attention. Many of the President’s accomplishments were overshadowed by this false charge.

Additionally, many Trump associates were harassed and falsely indicted on unrelated charges by Mueller, yet he found no criminal conspiracy between Trump or his campaign and Russia. That finding was likely known by Mueller at the beginning of the so-called investigation since it is now known they falsely created this claim and sham investigation.

When this was going on, federal prosecutors lied to the Federal Intelligence Surveillance Courts (FISC). It is a federal crime to perpetrate a fraud on the FISC under 18 U.S.C. §1001. It is also a crime to abuse office and deprive people of their rights under 18 U.S.C. §242. Finally, it is also a crime to misuse federal funds and resources for political purposes.

President Trump was right from the very beginning. House Republicans, including the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on which I serve, are working with the Trump administration to bring a complete and transparent investigation into this shameless act of political corruption and will not stop until every Deep State traitor has been brought to justice.

Election Integrity

President Trump’s Executive Order on Voting Integrity Being Litigated: Arizona Weighs In
As many of you know, President Trump issued an executive order on March 25, 2025, making sure states comply with federal laws on voter integrity. This includes making sure votes don’t roll in after the polls are closed and making sure illegal aliens and others not entitled to vote do not actually vote. Washington and Oregon sued the President to stop the executive order, instead arguing that voter fraud is fine.

The Arizona Republican Party filed an amicus brief this week supporting the President. A copy of that brief is linked here. It’s good to see that responsible people are working now to protect voter integrity and uphold the law.

Casework Spotlight!

As your elected representative, constituent casework is a fundamental responsibility and one of the most important and satisfying aspects of my job! Casework involves helping individuals navigate federal agencies and resolve issues—whether it’s securing veterans’ benefits, expediting a passport, accessing Social Security, or resolving immigration problems. My staff and I act as your liaison, cutting through complicated bureaucratic red tape that can often be difficult to manage on your own. Here are several recent constituent cases that my office was able to successfully assist:

Jeffrey A. from Lake Havasu City contacted my office regarding delays in his application for disability with the Railroad Retirement Board. Despite providing the required medical evidence, Jeffrey spent nearly three years waiting for the Railroad Retirement Board to respond and process his claim. Frustrated, Jeffrey reached out to my office for help, and we immediately went to work on Jeffrey’s behalf. I am pleased to report that within a week of my office contacting the Railroad Retirement Board, Jeffrey finally received an approval for his disability benefits.

Michael and Jennifer A. from Glendale reached out to my office regarding their long-delayed refund from the Internal Revenue Service. I am happy to report that after my office contacted the IRS, Michal and Jennifer were notified this month that they will be receiving nearly $11,800 in a refund.

Michelle W. from Goodyear needed help to for an Apostille to apply for a student visa for Spain after the Department of State mistakenly delivered it to an incorrect address. Within days of my inquiry to the United States Postal Service and the Department of State, the Apostille was delivered to Michael’s correct address.

As you can see, the impact on individual lives can be both immediate and profound and is a good reminder of the human side of governance. Gosar Gets Around Town: District Highlights!

I recently had the opportunity to tour the Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) and met with Heath Evans, president and chief executive officer and many wonderful staff, doctors and nurses. KRMC is the largest healthcare provider in northwest Arizona and is the only remaining non-profit hospital in Mohave County. A major contributor to the local economy and the community’s well-being, KRMC is repeatedly recognized as an important partner in our neighborhood, and I am grateful for the chance to see firsthand the amazing medical services and wellness needs it provides Mohave County!

App Challenge

Reminder: Gosar Announces Congressional App Challenge for Middle and High School Students

Don’t forget that registration is still underway for the 2025 Congressional App Challenge. The competition is open to all middle school and high school students who live in Arizona’s Ninth Congressional District.

The annual competition is designed to encourage student participation in computer science and coding. Students can register for the 2025 competition by clicking HERE and begin coding their apps. The competition deadline is October 30, 2025.

Officially launched by the U.S. House of Representatives in 2015, this nationwide effort allows students to compete with their peers by creating an application or “app,” for mobile, tablet, or computer devices.

The winner from the Ninth Congressional District, chosen by a panel of expert judges, will be featured on CongressionalAppChallenge.us, and the winning app will also be on display at the U.S. Capitol, honoring the winners from across the country.

It’s Mail Time!

I receive hundreds of letters each month and I appreciate everyone who writes in. Here are a few letters I received this week:

Laurie A. from Surprise, AZ writes:
Please ask Speaker Johnson to pass H.R. 589 before Labor Day. This bill repeals the unconstitutional and dangerous FACE Act. It was passed out of the House Judiciary Committee in June. The FACE Act isn’t protecting anyone. It’s targeting people of faith. It must be repealed. Please vote for H.R. 589 and ask Speaker Johnson to move H.R. 589 right away.

Dear Laurie, as you note, the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act is a federal law enacted in 1994, that purportedly protects patients and providers of abortions by prohibiting force, threats of force, or physical obstructions that impede access to abortion clinics, as well as barring “the use of or threats of force, obstruction, and property damage intended to disrupt religious worship.”

However, the FACE Act has been applied unequally and has been weaponized against peaceful pro-life protestors in front of abortion clinics exercising their constitutional right of peaceful assembly, most notably under the Biden-era Department of Justice (DOJ).

Specifically, Biden’s DOJ brought at least 26 charges against pro-life individuals under the FACE Act in 2022 but filed zero charges against pro-abortion activists who vandalized or obstructed pro-life pregnancy centers after the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization Supreme Court ruling, which overturned Roe v. Wade.

Thankfully, H.R. 589, of which I am a proud cosponsor, would repeal the FACE Act and ensure peaceful pro-life protestors cannot be targeted by corrupt Democrat DOJs in the future.

This is an anti-American law at its core – I’m proud to be part of the coalition leading the charge to remove the FACE Act from the United States Code for good, and furthering President Trump’s broader efforts to end the weaponization of the federal government against its own citizens. Please know that I will keep your thoughts in mind should this legislation be considered for a vote in the House of Representatives.

I’m writing to respectfully urge you to co-sponsor and support HR4668, repealing the 1986 act by ending the vaccine liability shield. This critical legislation would restore the constitutional right of Americans to seek legal recourse when injured by vaccines, rights that were removed by the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986. I have been vaccine injured several times, now on disability, and I truly hope you will consider siding with the people on this one.

Dear Harry, I have some great news for you: I wrote and introduced the very bill you are referring to! I wrote about it in last week’s newsletter. For nearly four decades, vaccine manufacturers have been shielded from liability through a special carveout that prevents injured individuals from pursuing justice in civil court. No other industry enjoys this level of immunity, even when harm is well-documented. My bill would repeal the 1986 liability shield and allow those injured by vaccines, including COVID-19 products, to bring their claims to court. My bill also eliminates the three-year statute of limitations for claims arising from vaccine injuries since 1986 and restores public trust by ensuring accountability and transparency in pharmaceutical safety. You might also be interested in knowing that Health and Human Services Secretary Kennedy spoke out this week in favor of repealing the vaccine legal immunities. I hope this is a good indication that there is strong momentum to get this on the President’s desk.
