Shame at the Legislature. Republicans in the Arizona Legislature have approved a $1.9B income tax giveaway for the wealthy, the largest in AZ state history. Included in the budget deal, which undermines voter-approved Prop 208, are multiple anti-voter bills, an anti-ballot measure bill, and bills that retaliate against anti-police brutality activists, making it harder to hold police accountable. Arizona Republicans also voted against expanding healthcare insurance for kids, though Democrats were able to defeat a school voucher expansion bill. The shameful budget package now sits on Gov. Ducey’s desk, awaiting his signature. 

For the People Act fails. Republicans in the U.S. Senate successfully obstructed the For the People Act, invoking the filibuster to prevent the beginning of debate on the bill. The failed vote was expected, as Sen. Kyrsten Sinema continues to defend the filibuster rule with false and unrealisticarguments, despite what’s going on in Arizona. Meanwhile, pressure on Sinema to pass important legislation mounts—activists were arrested outside her Phoenix office on Tuesday, telling her to put people over power at an End the Filibuster rally. Later in the week, Mark Kelly signaled that he is open to filibuster reform on a private phone call.  

Chauvin sentenced. On Friday, former police officer Derek Chauvin was sentenced to 22.5 years for murdering George Floyd last summer. Floyd’s family had asked the judge to give Chauvin the maximum sentence of forty years, saying his brutal actions that ended Floyd’s life imposed a life sentence on them. Activists continue to callfor policing reform and accountability in the U.S., making it clear that true justice would be if George Floyd was still alive today. 

Arrests at Sinema’s office. Ten community leaders were arrested on Tuesday at End the Filibuster rally outside of Sen. Kyrsten Sinema’s office, after staging a sit-in to demand that Sinema do what is right for Arizonans and eliminate the rule. Watch this clip from the rally.

After Nearly 100 Days, Kamala Completes Her “Grand Gesture” Visit to the Border

This week I joined hundreds of patriots and attended a rally in Arizona to highlight the crisis along the southern border. Americans are fed up with the mess at southern border. Everywhere I go, the immigration crisis is near the top when it comes to issues that my constituents care most about. 

As many of you know, portions of my district run along the southern border with Mexico, including Yuma, Arizona. I have personally been to the southern border multiple times this year alone. What is happening at the border is outrageous.

The month of May saw a record number of border apprehensions: 180,000, beating the record set in April. Drugs are pouring in through Mexico. There has been a 235% increase in fentanyl smuggling. In fact, more fentanyl has been seized by the Border Patrol so far in 2021 than in all of 2020.

In contrast, this week Border Czarina Kamala Harris finally LAUGHED HER WAY to the southern border. Here’s my question: What took so long? Why has it taken nearly 100 days?  That is both embarrassing and unconscionable!

Let’s be honest: we all know Kamala only went to the border because President Trump had previously announced he is going there next week with Texas Governor Abbott. There is no other way to explain this, the Biden Administration caved under pressure from President Trump. Once again, President Trump is leading while Mr. Biden is following.

It took pressure from Donald Trump, nearly 100 days, hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens crossing in, and tens of thousands of pounds of deadly fentanyl to be seized to get Kamala Harris to the southern border.

This is a disgrace and should make every American furious. Kamala’s trip to the border was a photo-opportunity to save face. Which is ironic, when you really think about it, because Mr. Biden previously banned all photographs of the crisis his administration created so the world could not see the overflowing cages or the deplorable conditions.  

Kamala’s trip lasted less than two hours and she never actually visited the border. She visited a border patrol facility in El Paso, which happens to be miles away from the physical border. 

The trip was so bad that even Democrat Congressman Henry Cueller of Texas noted that Kamala’s visit was nothing more than a “politically safe trip” and she “would not get a true picture of what is really happening along the southern border.”

I will be very honest with you; I have no confidence in Kamala Harris to solve this problem even after her visit to the border that really was not a visit to the border. She has failed her most important task.  She has failed the American people.

The Second Amendment guarantees that the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Unfortunately, many liberal states are attacking this fundamental right by requiring concealed carry applicants to justify their need for the permit, empowering authorities to reject applications from law-abiding Americans for arbitrary reasons or for no reason at all. 

The Supreme Court is currently considering a case, NYSRFA v. Corlett, to determine if New York’s concealed carry restrictions violate the Second Amendment. I joined the National Rifle Association and several members of Congress in an amicus brief to the Supreme Court arguing that the Second Amendment applies to everyone, and that New York State’s law is an unconstitutional attempt to limit the right to bear arms.

Last week, I shared that I voted in favor of a bill that repealed the authorization to use military force (AUMF) in Iraq that was initially passed by Congress in 2002, predicated on misrepresentations by the State Department about weapons of mass destruction. This bipartisan bill passed 268-161 and is supported by Mr. Biden.

It will come as no shock to most people reading this newsletter that I seldom agree with Mr. Biden on important policy decisions. Not often. Hardly ever. Gosar Supports Resolution Affirming States’ Rights to Protect Citizens

This week, I joined several of my colleagues in cosponsoring a resolution that affirms state’s rights to protect their citizens from the cartel-facilitated invasion along the southern border. 

The Constitution is clear: when the federal government, in this case Joe Biden, fails to protect the states against invasion, Article 1 Section 10 guarantees states the right to repel an invasion.

Today, we are being invaded by the drug cartels that have complete operational control of the southern border and are allowing hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants to pour into our country. All because Joe Biden has purposefully failed to protect or secure our southern border.

If Mr. Biden refuses to respond to this crisis you can be assured that southern border states will use their constitutional power to fight back against the cartels and protect our citizens. 

This resolution is a much-needed step in regaining control of our southern border via the exercise of the sovereign power of the states.

Gosar Questions Secretary Haaland Over Interior Department Budget 

This week, the House Committee on Natural Resources heard from U.S. Department of Interior Secretary Deb Haaland at a hearing about Mr. Biden’s job-killing budget proposal.

With the ongoing drought conditions persisting in Arizona, I used this hearing as an opportunity to question Secretary Haaland about the redesignation of Colorado River water, an important coal project which was closed by the Obama Administration intended to be used for the Navajo Generating Station. 

I was able to get the Secretary to agree to work to retain northern Arizona’s control of the water rather than relinquishing control to environmental groups who want to take it. I also got the Secretary to commit to working with me to streamline Navajo drilling permits to ensure we retain our domestic helium production so we don’t become even more dependent on foreign adversaries for our sources of helium.

This week, I joined several of my colleagues writing to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee opposing the nomination of Tracy Stone-Manning to be Director of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) over allegations that she participated in the harmful practice of tree spiking in Clearwater National Forest, a form of eco-terrorism. Ms. Stone-Manning is unfit to direct the agency whose very mission is to sustain the health of public lands for the enjoyment of present and future generations. Opposition to her confirmation is bipartisan, with a former Obama BLM director speaking out against her nomination.

The Central American Minor (CAM) program is an unlawful chain migration program established under the Obama Administration that allows immigrant parents from Central America to petition the State Department to allow their families to settle in the United States. The program was rightfully terminated by President Trump.  Unfortunately, Mr. Biden recently announced his intention to not only reinstate the CAM program but expand it to allow illegal aliens residing in the United States to petition the State Department for their relatives to come to the U.S.  In response, this week I cosponsored a bill to block taxpayer funding for CAM.

Dear Sir and Madam,

I read with great disgust your “Organization Strategic Plan to Embed Racial Justice and Advance Health Equity.” Seldom have I read a more destructive, divisive, and inflammatory document by a professional organization, and I have never been more ashamed of being associated with the American Medical Association at any time in my career.

The suggestion that our country owes anyone “equity” because of “past injustices” is revolting. My family arrived in this country in 1961. We have not been a party to any of the injustices that occurred so many decades ago, yet you hold my family, my colleagues, and me in the same light that you hold the cruelest slaveholder. How dare you say that I, a person who is forced to answer on a census form as being white/Caucasian, but who on a different question answers Hispanic/Latino/Cuban, should be in anyway held responsible for those who traded slaves and the African chieftains who willingly sold their tribesmen and women to the Europeans four hundred years ago?

How dare you say that I, and every one of my colleagues who have spent our lives treating the poor, minorities, majorities, and anyone else who may stumble into our emergency rooms, legally or not, without bias or favor, and without any chance of being reimbursed for our training and our efforts, should be thought of as members of an oppressive consortium designed to inflict evil or inequity to those who we selflessly treat?

How dare you join the countless number of camouflaged communists who furtively and purposely try to confuse those around them by conflating equity with equality? Ours is a nation built on the premise of equal standing under the law and only that. Everything else is to be achieved through excellence, dedication, training, and hard work.

Equity, on the other hand, is achieved by fiat, by taking from some and giving it to others at the point of a gun. Few better ruses exist for the state control of the means of production than through the illusory promise of achieving equity instead of equal standing under the law. This is a dangerous track you are entering from which you and the social system you seek may never be able to return.

You claim that we live in a land that was taken from Native Americans hundreds of years ago. That may be so, but you neglect that the same is true of all other civilizations on earth. The Babylonians invaded Israel. The Norwegians invaded England. The Visigoths invaded Rome. Rome invaded Egypt and North Africa. The Turks invaded Constantinople. The Mongols invaded Europe. The Germans invaded Russia. The Russians starved their people. The Germans committed holocaust upon the Jews. The Calusas ransacked and sacrificed their neighboring tribes. The Caribes attacked and imprisoned the Taínos. The Mayans continuously conquered each other and tore their victims’ hearts out while they were still beating. Mao starved 69 million people and the People’s Republic of China killed millions with their latest virus.

Every single civilization, even those in Africa and the Far East, have conquered and been conquered. It is a fact of life and a staple of history. Your skewed and biased view of the events that took place between the Europeans and Native Americans while ignoring every other injustice carried out throughout history upon the very groups against which you point an accusatory finger is ignorant, hypocritical, and insulting to the 100% of us living Americans who played no part in the invasion nor were victims of the conquests.

You have abused your position as the self-proclaimed purveyor of the medical profession to promote a self-proclaimed social(ist) agenda against the will of so many of those whom you falsely claim to represent.

I will oppose you with all my being, all my strength, my intellect, and my voice. I will oppose you from here to the ends of the earth. I will oppose you because of your disgusting abuse of the great privilege that has been bestowed upon you, and because of the great insult you asperse upon me by suggesting that I carry anything other than love, charity, and good will towards every human being that I meet and have treated in my 30 years of practice as a physician.

There is a magnificent document whose signers pledged their Lives, their Fortunes, and their Sacred Honor to a cause much greater than themselves. Today, I pledge the same in opposition of you.

Here’s to seeing the end of your filthy, disgusting, and vile organization.

It appears everything in Washington is crooked and on the take. Not just Congress but the FBI, the CIA, the Justice Department, the Pentagon, the Generals, literally everyone in Washington including those in the past administration. Add to all this Silicon Valley and the social media, cable news, a biased media, and foreign intervention. These groups amalgamated to become the  Deep State.

President Trump didn’t have a chance. He walked into this mess four years ago and tried to clean the swamp. But the swamp monster ate him alive piece by piece starting on Day 1. Unfortunately his actions over the past few weeks in disputing the election had a small roll for the events at the capital. All the good he did over the past four years was wiped away. He’s a marked man for the rest of his life. So where does he go now? Where can he live? What is the impact on his family. As one top general said yesterday, he’s a great leader without a country.

The changes that are coming will have time to affect senior citizens and will impact their children and grandchildren. The coronavirus impact on our country is mild compared to what lies ahead.

Now you understand why there was never any action against the Clinton’s or Obama. How they destroyed emails and evidence and phones and servers, how they spied and wiretapped, how they lied to the FISA Court, had conversations on the tarmac, sent emails to cover their asses after key meetings, how Comey and Brennan and Clapper never were brought to any justice, how the FBI and CIA lied, how the Steele Dossier was passed along, how phones got factory reset, how leak after leak to an accomplice media went unchecked, why George Soros is always in the shadows, why they screamed Russia and pushed a sham impeachment, why no one ever goes to jail, why no one is ever charged, why nothing ever happens.

Why there was no wrongdoing in the FISA warrants, why the Durham report was delayed. Why Hunter will walk Scott free. (Diaper wearing Joe will give his whole family pardons) Why the FBI sat on the laptop. Why the Biden’s connection to China was overlooked and then they unleashed the perfect weapon, a virus that could be weaponized politically to bring down the greatest ever economy and usher in unverifiable mail in voting.

Why the media is 24/7propaganda and lies, why up is down and down is up, right is wrong and wrong is right. Why social media silences the First Amendment and speaks over the President of the United States.

This has been the plan by the Deep State all along. They didn’t expect Trump to win in 2016. He messed up their plans. Delayed it a little. They weren’t about to let it happen again. COVID-19 was weaponized, Governors helped shut down their states, the media helped shame and kill the economy, and the super lucky unverifiable mail in ballots were just the trick to make sure the career politician allegedly with hands in Chinese payrolls that couldn’t finish a sentence or collect a crowd, miraculously became the most popular vote recipient of all time.

You have just witnessed a coup, the overthrow of the US free election system, the end of our constitutional republic, and the decline of capitalism into the slide toward socialism. What will happen next?

Expect the borders to open up. Increased immigration. Expect agencies like CBP and INS and Homeland Security to be muzzled or even deleted.  Law enforcement will see continued defunding. The electoral college will be gone. History erased. Two Supreme Court Justices might be removed. The Supreme Court will be packed. Your 2nd Amendment will be attacked. If you have a manufacturing job or oil industry job, get ready. If you run a business, brace for impact. Maybe you’ll be on the hook for slavery reparations, or have your suburbs turned into Section 8 housing. Your taxes are going to go up, and businesses will pay more. I could go on and on. There is no real recovery from this. The elections from here on will be decided by New York, Illinois, and California.

The Republic will be dead. Mob rule and appeasement will run rampant. The candidate who offers the most from the Treasury will get the most votes. But the votes voted won’t matter, just the ones received and counted. That precedent has been set. “Benjamin Franklin was walking out of Independence Hall after the Constitutional Convention in 1787, when someone shouted out, ‘Doctor, what have we got? A republic or a monarchy?'” Franklin responded, “A republic, if you can keep it.” 

Ladies and gentlemen, you will now lose your Republic. You turned from God. You turned from family. You turned from country. You embraced degeneracy culture. You celebrated and looked to fools. You worshiped yourselves selfishly as you took for granted what men died to give you. You disregarded history and all it teaches. On your watch, America just died a little. It’s likely she’ll never be the same again. Some of you have no idea what you’ve done. Sadly, some of you do. 
And who has the guts to share this with friends and family that voted for Biden?
