Olivia Pichardo is making history as the first female baseball player to be on an active NCAA Division I roster after she was added to the Brown roster for the 2023 season.

The 18-year-old freshman, who has participated in several of MLB’s youth programs, made the team as a utility player after trying out this fall.

Said Pichardo: “It’s really paving the way for other girls in the next generation to also have these goals that they want to achieve and dream big and know that they can do it.”
