Gosar Invites Biden to Yuma, Arizona to Tour Border
WASHINGTON D.C. – Congressman Paul Gosar issued the following statement after writing to Mr. Biden inviting him to Yuma County to see first-hand the crisis along the southern border:
“The Biden Administration doesn’t seem to understand or simply won’t admit that there is a crisis along the southern border. Just this week, the White House Press Secretary walked backed acknowledging the crisis by referring to it as only a “challenge.” At a House Homeland Security Committee hearing this week, the Department of Homeland Security Secretary would only refer to what is happening as “complex.” And Mr. Biden himself refuses to acknowledge that it is crisis, despite it being a crisis he created by decisions to open our southern border, ignore immigration enforcement laws and halt the completion of construction of the wall.
In 2019, President Trump and the Department of Homeland Security declared the situation at the southern border a national emergency. The problem of large-scale unlawful migration through the border has only become worse under Mr. Biden’s administration.
That’s why yesterday, I sent a letter directly to Mr. Biden inviting him to join me in Yuma County in my district which runs along the southern border and is being pummeled by never-ending waves of illegal migrant crossings.
I am confident that if Mr. Biden were to personally observe the situation in Yuma County, he and others in his administration would recognize that it is indeed a crisis he created and we can begin to reverse the bad policies put in place that have encouraged migrants to flood our border,” said Rep. Paul Gosar.

Gosar Reacts to the Passage of Democrat Amnesty Bills
WASHINGTON D.C. – Congressman Paul Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-4) issued the followed statement after voting against H.R. 6, the American Dream and Promise Act, and H.R. 1603, the Farm Workforce Modernization Act.
“In less than two months, the Biden Administration’s decisions to open our southern border, ignore immigration enforcement laws and halt the completion of construction of the wall have destroyed much of President Trump’s progress in stopping illegal aliens from pouring into our country. Today, our nation now finds itself in the midst of a growing health, humanitarian and security crisis created by Joe Biden.
The Biden Administration’s open border policy coupled with Nancy Pelosi’s amnesty bills taken up today in Congress will only exacerbate the growing humanitarian, health and security crisis along the southern border. It is shocking to me that House Democrats’ answer to the Biden-created border crisis is to take up legislation that would give amnesty plus a path towards citizenship to more than five million illegal aliens.
This is like pouring gasoline on a wildfire. We should not be incentivizing more illegal immigrants to unlawfully enter our country. Instead, we must condemn these attempts, enforce the laws on the books and take all necessary steps to get our border under control,” said Rep. Gosar.
