As a Petco Love partner, we’re excited to help make every pet adoption a forever one and set new pet parents up for success with the updated 2025 Adoption Support Benefit flyer (ASB). This replaces the 2024 ASB.

This 2025 ASB flyer ensures you can continue providing exclusive benefits to your new adopters! The ASB, which can be printed or shared digitally and redeemed online or in stores, provides new adopters a discount on purchases (thanks to our sponsor Petco), encourages them to register their new pet with Petco Love Lost in case they go missing, and more.

Start distributing your organization’s updated ASB, available for download below. Let’s help new pet parents take great care of their new pets and live their best lives together!

Important: Please discard and remove the 2024 ASB from circulation. The last day it was able to be redeemed was January 31, 2025.

We were honored to read the thousands of Love Stories that your adopters submitted this year! In partnership with BOBS® from Skechers®, we are proud to announce the top 25 Love Stories with nearly $500,000 in grants going to the animal welfare organizations who made these adoption matches possible.

It is your dedicated efforts that reflect the purpose of Petco Love Stories – to celebrate the life changing impact of pet adoption and to help save more pet lives.

Thank you for your continued partnership and hard work to save pet lives! Together, we are creating a lifesaving nation.

Petco Love Adoption Rewards are paid out quarterly following Petco’s fiscal year. 4th Quarter adoptions (November, December & January) will payout by the end of February*. Organizations will receive a QTRLY scorecard via email with adoptions recorded to date.

*2023 Annual Data Report required for payment.

Rewards payouts occur the month following the QTR that the level threshold is met. Adoption Partners will be paid the difference between the larger award level threshold and the previous level reached each quarter.

Please refer to your Quarterly Adoption Partner Scorecard for details related to the number of adoptions recorded at Petco for the last quarter. If the adoption numbers do not match your records, please contact your Petco General Manager to correct any mistakes. If needed, corrections to your Adoption Rewards payout will occur in the next quarter.

The 2024 Annual Data Report Is Live!

Organizations performing adoptions must complete a current Annual Data Report (ADR) in the Partner Portal.

Submit your ADR by March 31, 2025 to unlock partnership opportunities for 2025!

Get Funds Faster

If you are a Petco Love grant recipient, have a pending grant request, or intend to apply for a grant in the future the fastest way to receive grant payments is via electronic fund transfer (EFT).

Sign-up for Paymode-X, Petco Love’s chosen electronic payment system, so that your future grant payments can be made electronically.

Once you sign-up, it may take up to 6 weeks for Paymode-X to have your account ready to receive electronic fund transfers.

Vaccinated And Loved Campaign

We have committed another million vaccines towards stopping the spread of deadly, preventable diseases for pets in need. If your organization has the capacity to host vaccine clinic events and directly administer vaccines to family pets, you might qualify to receive FREE Canine DAPPv and Feline HCP vaccines! As a reminder, our Vaccinated and Loved campaign application* is open year-round on the Partner Portal.

*The campaign’s focus is to reduce vaccine preventable diseases (parvovirus, distemper and panleukopenia) by providing DAPPv and HCP vaccines to our qualified partners to administer to family pets in their communities for free. Organizations performing adoptions must submit a current Annual Data Report to qualify.

Attention all rural organizations: Please take a moment to fill out the Animal Welfare in Rural America Survey! Developed by rural animal welfare leaders, this survey is a key part of a national effort to bring meaningful attention and support to the unique challenges faced by rural animal shelters, rescues, and welfare organizations.

Your input will help both local and national leaders better understand these challenges and advocate for resources, policies, and partnerships that truly address rural needs. And, to thank you for your time, you’ll be entered into a drawing to receive a $100 gift card, courtesy of Rural Humane.

BOBS^® Bestie of the Month

Everybody Loves Pickle 🥒🐱

Christina and her husband were searching for a companion for a kitten they had found when they attended a Petco Adoptapalooza event. At the end of the event, Pickle was one of the few kittens without a submitted adoption application. They fell in love with him immediately!

“Pickle loves me in a way that I didn’t know a cat could. He learned how to do tricks in exchange for a kiss on his head, and he shows me his belly to ask for a pet whenever I walk by. When I’m in video meetings, Pickle sits on my lap and stares into my eyes. People ask me how they could find a cat who looks at them the way he looks at me? ‘Easy – adopt!’” Christina says.

She continues, “For me, the natural next step was to open New York’s first adoptable cat café, Meow Parlour, to give everyone a chance to meet their next best friend. Pickle has not only changed my life, but my love for him has helped change the lives of so many other cats and their families.

Over the past 12 years, Pickle has set the tone in our home, helping foster over 450 cats and kittens for Meow Parlour. For the last three years, he’s been especially crucial in integrating fospice cats, keeping guard over them and helping them adjust to their new environment,” says Christina.
