The last open seat on the Casa Grande Elementary School District Governing Board has been filled. Former board member Tom Ramsdell resigned earlier this year and the election for his seat was canceled after no one filed to run for the position. However, the person chosen by Pinal County School Superintendent Jill Broussard to fill the empty position is very familiar with the district.

Tractor Supply Company has plans to move into the Maricopa area soon. The Maricopa Planning and Zoning Commission approved the development review permit for the project at a recent meeting.

And speaking of Maricopa, a stretch of Bowlin Road near the Maricopa Civic Center will be closed for two months as the city prepares to start building its new police headquarters and administration facility. Heads up! The closure will start on Monday.
