In case you missed it, three candidates running for Legislative District 16 were at the Arizona City Chamber of Commerce’s August luncheon earlier this week. While chamber members had lunch, each of the candidates had an opportunity to present their plans for office.

Also, SRP is proposing an expansion to a plant it owns near Florence to help boost power production. The proposal to add two flexible natural gas turbines to the Florence plant comes after the Arizona Corporation Commission denied the company’s request to expand its plant near Randolph.

And here’s a lighter note to end the week on. Seeds of Hope in Casa Grande got a little help serving lunch to homeless and low-income residents this week. Little Caesars partnered with the organization to serve 40 pizzas to those in need of a hot lunch.
