Baseball delivered in a big way in 2022 — as it always does.

It was a season that strengthened the resumes of stars and introduced impactful rookies who quickly joined those ranks. We marveled at milestone chases and witnessed historic firsts. The postseason was spectacular.

In short, baseball was the best, yet again.

The 14 new candidates on the BBWAA Hall of Fame ballot tasted plenty of glory during their MLB tenures. But because baseball is also super weird, they’ve seen their fair share of strange moments, too.

The Giants have agreed to a three-year contract with left-handed reliever Taylor Rogers, according to a source, that will pair him with his twin brother, Tyler.

It’s the holiday season, so it’s our obligation to put together a full starting lineup of holiday-themed names.
