As many of you have seen on our social, we have just returned from an incredible trip to Piedmont. One of the standout visits was Paulo Scavino.
One of the original Barolo Boys, Enrico Scavino started working full time in the winery at just 10 years of age. He was a pioneer in the industry when modern techniques became the rage during the 1990’s, however he never joined the trend of destroying Barolos with tons of new French oak. Although Enrico passed away early this year, the deep tradition of Paulo Scavino is very much alive and well.
We were fortunate to stop in for a tasting with Andrea who shared a full lineup of the Scavino wines. One wine in particular stood out as being both approachable now and worthy of cellaring for another 5+ years. We were able to get our hands on a couple cases and are (reluctantly) willing to share.
We’re offering it at the LOWEST PRICE ANYWHERE. Requests will be filled in the order they’re received.
