Good morning, Arizona. Here’s what our reporters are working on and what you should know before you start your day.

Arizona Democrats rode the anti-Trump wave to new heights.

But this year, with Donald Trump back on the ballot, some Democrats are worried that the presidential race is slipping out of Joe Biden’s reach in this crucial battleground.

‘Twisters’ is a perfect summer flick

There’s a danger of pushing the effects too far, stepping beyond science and into just ridiculous movie-monster territory. “Twisters” is a fun return to one of the best disaster movies of all time, in our reviewer’s opinion.

Here are just some of the events on this date in the past.

•	On this day in 1925: Adolf Hitler published the first volume of “Mein Kampf,” the manifesto and blueprint for his Third Reich agenda. Hitler wrote the book while imprisoned for his role in the Beer Hall Putsch, a failed coup d’état in Munich, Bavaria.
•	In 1940: Franklin Delano Roosevelt, America’s 32nd president, accepted the nomination for an unprecedented third term. Roosevelt, who originally took office in 1933, won the presidential reelection in November 1940 and was also elected to a serve a fourth term – cut short when he died on April 12, 1945.
•	In 1966: Six days of riots in Cleveland began after the white owner of the Seventy-Niners Cafe on Hough Avenue refused to give a glass of water to a Black customer as racial tension reached a fever. Four Black residents were killed, 50 people were injured an over 270 arrests were made over the course of the riots.
•	In 1969: U.S. Sen. Edward “Ted” Kennedy of Massachusetts drove a car off a Chappaquiddick Island, Mass., bridge into Poucha Pond after attending a party. Kennedy survived but his passenger, 28-year-old Mary Jo Kopechne, did not. The senator did not report the incident until 10 hours later. He received a two-month suspended jail sentence and had his driver’s license suspended for a year.
•	In 1984: 21 people were killed and 19 others injured when 41-year-old James Huberty open fired into a McDonald’s restaurant in the San Ysidro neighborhood of San Diego, Calif. Huberty, who tried to seek help for his mental problems days prior, was reported to have danced while he was killing innocents with semi-automatics. He was shot and killed by police an hour after the massacre started.
•	In 1992: Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the World Wide Web and HTML markup language, uploaded a photo of an all-women parody band called Les Horrible Cernettes (a wordplay on Cern’s Large Hadron Collider), making the image the first to be shared on the World Wide Web.
