The day my boss informed me I’d been chosen as our school district’s Teacher of the Year, excitement overwhelmed me. I couldn’t believe I’d been selected for such an honor! Each year, the Teacher of the Year award was announced at the end-of-semester district luncheon, surrounded by lots of fanfare. This was certain to be a once-in-a-lifetime moment.

I have always said that I have the ugliest house/yard on the street from November-February but the prettiest house/yard on the street from March-October….. I shall now call my house Mitchell Park….. This is what the neighbors who live across the street get to look at every day……. vs. what I have to look at every day (their 10,000 sq.ft. monstrosity of shitness) 🙂 It makes me SO HAPPY to see Mother Nature get a chance to be Herself, even if in a Bohemian very non-SMU kind of way 🌺🌺🌺
