Gosar Reacts to Biden Troop Withdrawal in Afghanistan
WASHINGTON D.C. – Congressman Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04) issued the following statement in response to the Biden Administration’s decision to remove all American troops from Afghanistan by September 11, 2021. “It’s not often I agree with Mr. Biden or his views on foreign policy, but this is an exception. For twenty years, America has been engaged in an endless war in Afghanistan, costing thousands of American lives with a price tag over $1 trillion. We have defeated our enemy. We must continue President Trump’s mission to put America first and put an end to forever wars. Mr. Biden’s decision will allow for our military to focus on the threats from other enemies, especially Russia, China, and Iran, who will stop at nothing to undermine American sovereignty. Endless wars come at a great cost to the brave men and women in uniform willing to die for our country. It’s long past time to bring our troops home,” said Rep. Paul Gosar. |
Gosar Files Response to Jayapal’s Frivolous Complaint
Gosar Files Response to Jayapal’s Frivolous Complaint: “Alleging that I have somehow acted criminally, or against the country I love and protect, is defamatory and reckless. The civil courts will resolve that issue.” Washington, D.C. – Congressman Paul Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04) issued the following statement in response to Representative Pramila Jayapal’s frivolous complaint concerning the events of January 6, 2021: “Today, I submitted in writing to the House Committee on Ethics my statement in response to the baseless complaint filed by Ms. Jayapal. On January 6, 2021 I determined to invoke the Electoral Count Act of 1887, and the 12thAmendment to the United States Constitution, to object to the certification of Electors from Arizona. This is neither calamitous nor unethical. Indeed, in 2016, Democrat Members of Congress, led by Rep. Jayapal, invoked the same law to object to the certification of the 2016 Presidential election of Donald Trump. The illegitimacy of Ms. Jayapal’s claims, when she herself called for an objection of President Trump’s certification in January 2017 is duplicitous and tendentious. I have at all times conducted myself credibly and well within the acceptable norms of Congress. The assertion that I planned, created, assisted or otherwise participated in the riot on January 6 is malicious and patently false. Ms. Jayapal is fundamentally wrong. Her Complaint is frivolous, ill-conceived and defamatory,” concluded Rep. Gosar. Click HERE to read my full written response to the House Committee on Ethics. |
The Berean – Matthew 12:31-32 KJV
Matthew 12:31-32
(31) Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. (32) And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
King James Version Change your email Bible version
Christ’s ominous warning was prompted by the Pharisees’ attribution of God’s work, by His Spirit, to an unclean (demonic) source. In principle, we may be guilty of something similar if we are so set in our opinions that we are unwilling to acknowledge the activity of God in His other children.
The scattering of the church seems to have encouraged a change in perception from the one extreme of believing that everyone associated with the church is converted to the other extreme of suspecting that everyone who is not just like us must be unconverted. Truly, there is a fine line here, since we are required to evaluate fruit and discern what is of God and what is not. With all of the scriptural warnings about false teaching, teachers, and even brethren, we understand the necessity to compare words and deeds with the Word of God and to reject what is not of Him. We dare not underestimate the risk of deception.
On the other hand, though, another grave danger lurks in concluding that someone is unconverted because of some failing we observe in him or her. It may be that we are correct in our judgment, and our words will justify rather than condemn us. Yet, consider for a moment what is at stake if we speak idle words and misjudge this matter: It means we are attributing the work of God in that person’s life—the faith, the overcoming, any good fruit—to something other than God. We may not be able to see all that He has done, but we are deciding it is nothing!
Can we grasp what transpires when we do such a thing? We are casting aspersions on the priceless Sacrifice substituted for that person. We are declaring the holy covenant that God made with that person to be null and void. We are insulting the Spirit of grace in that person’s life (see Hebrews 6:4-8). Is it really worth risking that sort of evil speaking against something that is sacred?—against a beloved child of the Most High God?
Consider Paul’s early experience with the church (see Acts 9). He did horrible things to holy people, and he did it with a clear conscience because he was sure he was right. He thought he was serving God by opposing the heretics—until that same God knocked him flat and told him that he was persecuting his own Maker. Decades after the fact, he was still lamenting his violence and contrariness toward people in whom the Holy Spirit dwelled. So terrible were his actions in his own sight that he did not even consider himself worthy to be called an apostle (I Corinthians 15:9). What he did was similar to what the Pharisees did in Matthew 12—he misjudged the activity of the Holy Spirit. But he also acted in ignorance, so he repented when God allowed him to see.
As Isaiah 58 says, God’s thoughts are so much higher than ours. It is when we start thinking too highly of our own thoughts that we begin grieving, resisting, or even quenching the Spirit of God. God gives us these strong warnings because it is possible for us to ascend above the heights of the clouds in our own thoughts, and to arrive at the point where the mind, power, and nature of God become unrecognizable and objects of scorn. Jesus’ warning should prompt us to evaluate our actions and words to ensure that we are not in any way opposing the Spirit of God.

Questions to Determine Whether a Friend or Relative Is a Liberal or a Leftist

The great tragedy of our time is that liberals vote left.
Virtually every value liberals have held for a century is now held by conservatives and scorned by leftists. Therefore, America, in serious jeopardy of being lost, will be saved when people convince the liberals in their life that the left, not the conservative, is their enemy.
This process begins by establishing whether a friend or relative is a liberal or a leftist. If it turns out that he or she is a liberal, it is worth engaging in respectful dialogue on the issues of the day. If the friend or relative is a leftist, you can probably only talk about innocuous subjects such as the weather (though not about global warming) or sports (though not about players taking a knee during the national anthem). If you talk about the great issues of the day with a left-wing friend or relative, that could be the last time you talk to each other. He or she is likely to unfriend you not only on social media but also in life. Leftists generally do not dialogue; they dismiss.
Here are questions you might want to pose to friends/relatives to determine — as much for them as for you — whether they are liberal or left.
Race
- Many universities now have all-black dormitories, and some have all-black graduation exercises. Do you support these developments?
- The University of California has declared this statement racist: “There is only one race — the human race.” Do you agree with the University of California, or do you agree with the statement?
- Is the goal of being “colorblind” — doing one’s best to ignore a person’s color and concentrating only on the person’s character and personality — a noble goal or a racist one?
- Do you believe the color of a person’s skin tells you anything of importance about that person?
- Do you agree that all white Americans are racist?
- If your answer is yes, would you tell the millions of blacks in Africa and the Caribbean who wish to emigrate to America that they would be making a poor decision? If not, why not?
- Is it possible for a black person to be a racist?
- Is it racist to claim that Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart composed the greatest music ever composed?
- Is the national anthem racist?
- If your answer is yes, what would you like to put in its place?
- The English Department at the University of Pennsylvania removed its painting of William Shakespeare because he was a white European male. Do you agree with that decision?
America
- Do you agree with The New York Times’ “1619 Project” that America was not founded in 1776 but in 1619 with the first arrival of black slaves in North America, and that the Revolutionary War was fought in order to preserve slavery?
- Should statues of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln be taken down?
- Has the United States, overall, made the world a better place?
- Would America be better, worse, or the same as now if all Americans dropped their religion and became secular?
- Has capitalism been a net-plus for America and the world?
- Everyone would like to improve America. Some would like to, in their words, “fundamentally transform” it. Would you?
- Could a good person have voted for Donald Trump in 2020?
- Do you believe that CNN, The Washington Post, The New York Times and the rest of the mainstream media are biased toward the left or try to present the news as accurately as possible?
- Should America have full control over its borders to prevent illegal immigration?
- There are between 11 and 30 million people in America who entered the country illegally. Should they all be put on a path to citizenship?
- Should those who enter America illegally be called “undocumented immigrants” or “illegal immigrants”?
- Do you believe police departments should be defunded, or at least have their budgets severely cut?
- Should the government provide vouchers to enable parents to choose what school their child attends?
- Which school do you believe is more likely to be attacked by a gunman: one that has a sign in front that reads, “Gun-Free Zone” or one that reads, “This School Has Armed Personnel”?
Men and Women
- Should it be legal for a teenage girl to have her breasts surgically removed because she identifies as a male — or should there be a minimum age of 18 or 21?
- School teachers have been told to stop calling students “boys and girls” because a student might not identify as either male or female. Do you agree with this policy?
- Should biological males who identify as females be allowed to compete against biological females in sports?
- Is the statement, “Men give birth” science-based?
- Do you agree with the practice of inviting a drag queen into public libraries and elementary school classrooms to conduct a “Drag Queen Story Hour”?
Speech
- Do you believe that free speech allows for hate speech, or should hate speech be banned?
- If you believe hate speech should be banned, who do you believe should determine what is hate speech?
You might want to send these questions to the people in your life whose views are to the left of your own. At best, you (and they) will realize that you have more in common than either of you previously thought. At the very least, their answers will bring you both clarity. And at worst, they will explain why there is a rift between you — and why you might want to restrict communication to weather, sports, recipes and warm memories.

Gosar Introduces Higher Education Transparency Act
WASHINGTON D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Paul Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04) issued the following statement after introducing the Higher Education Transparency Act. This legislation mandates complete transparency to expose Confucius Institutes and other foreign influence programs on college campuses disguised as cultural and language programs. “Institutions of higher education (IHEs) are the stepping stone for the development of the minds of the future leaders of America. It is important that colleges and universities are a place for the robust debate of ideas and absent of foreign influences, including those with ties to communist regimes. Unfortunately, foreign entities disguising themselves as cultural education institutions raise many concerns about academic freedom and autonomy on our public universities. In particular, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) funded Confucius Institutes operate on dozens of campuses across the United States and serve as a platform to advance China’s political agenda by allowing it to export its state censorship, control academic staff, choose curriculum, and restrict free speech and debate in college classrooms. I am pleased to introduce this legislation requiring American universities to be transparent about any agreement they have with foreign entities, including Confucius Institutes, which are seeking to leverage influence on American college campuses. Students educated at our colleges and universities deserve transparency when making choices about the institution they plan to attend and classes they wish to take,” said Congressman Gosar. Original Cosponsors: Rep. Ralph Norman (SC-05), Rep. Mo Brooks (AL-05), Rep. Greg Steube (FL-17), Rep. Pat Fallon (TX-04) Background When the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations commenced a study on China’s impact on our education system, it found that “foreign government spending on U.S. schools is effectively a black hole, as there is a lack of reporting detailing the various sources of foreign government funding.” In fact, the Department of Education found that over $6 billion in gifts and contracts from China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates went unreported from various American IHEs in violation of the Higher Education Act. Taking gifts and entering into contracts with foreign entities is not illegal, but avoiding reporting requirements is, which undermines transparency and academic freedom. These gaps are also routinely exploited by foreign nations which are averse to American values and seek to influence the way America views the world. The Higher Education Transparency Act addresses these gaps by requiring that IHEs post online the full content of any agreement between the IHE and a foreign source that provides language and cultural teaching resources and services to its students. This reporting requirement allows American students to gain a complete picture of the institutions they wish to study at and will also transparently show how foreign nations are pushing this specific form of influence. Studying history, culture, and heritage is essential for an informed democratic electorate and for our future leadership. Academic freedom should never be undermined by foreign malign influences, and when gaps in current law allow this to occur, the government must work to preserve these basic freedoms. For years, foreign governments who are global competitors to the U.S., and who do not share American values of freedom, tolerance and open discourse, have essentially bribed major universities with rich programs that often undermine our own government and culture. The extent and duration of these Trojan horse influencers should be made transparent to the public, and the Higher Transparency Education Act does just that. |
