The city is a supreme travel destination: cultural capital of the world, birthplace of the Anglo-Saxon concept of liberty, easy to navigate, walkable, safe, and blessed with superb hotels and restaurants. There’s no need to learn another language. It’s my top choice for an urban trip and I visit at least once a year, almost always in the off-season. Here are my ways and means for the world’s greatest city.
