In an article published on Dec. 12, two Australian researchers called for a pause and reflection of the country’s COVID response and vaccine mandates in order to “reaffirm essential freedoms.”

The authors linked the vaccine rollouts to a sudden increase in excess deaths, noting that one Australian state reported a 20-fold increase in excess deaths in 2021.

Several hospitals in New York, Illinois, Massachusetts, and Washington state reinstated mask mandates last week.

One study found that people who have taken two doses of the COVID-19 shots may be more likely to develop long COVID.

A Saudi Arabian study reported a link between COVID-19 vaccines and decreased salivary excretion in children, putting them at a greater risk of tooth decay and cavities.

COVID-19 vaccines may encourage cancer, according to a review published on Dec. 17. The authors linked vaccination to cancer-promoting processes and cancer-related adverse event reports.

Finally, a November study found that the fourth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine confers negative protection, suggesting increased infection risk.
