Animals in Arizona Need Your Help!

Arizona lawmakers have introduced SCR 1015 and HCR 2040, extremely dangerous resolutions that could prevent Arizona from taking positive action for animals and the planet. For example, SCR 1015 and HCR 2040 could prohibit public entities, such as state agencies and universities, from working with Mercy For Animals to address climate change and reduce harmful greenhouse gas emissions by offering more plant-based food in state facilities.

We are asking Arizona residents to urge their state senators to oppose SCR 1015 and HCR 2040 today.

The science is clear—to help stave off the worst impacts of climate change, we must decrease our consumption of resource-intensive animal-based foods and transition to a more plant-based food system. SCR 1015 and HCR 2040 prioritize the meat industry’s profits over people, animals, and the planet.
