Audience: Professionals running angel groups connect monthly for a peer exchange as well as in-person at major events and via a message board to share expertise and grow relationships.
“The pandemic has created the opportunity for angel groups to use technology in a way that enables groups to expand membership beyond their local area, be more adaptive and efficient using online founder pitches and utilize platforms for syndicating and/or crowdfunding.
The traditional monthly in-person angel gathering is still pertinent, but these new models are starting to move deals and capital at a faster rate, and “traditional” models will need to understand how they intend to engage or integrate newer models,” Eli Velasquez, Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Investors of Color.
So, who will lead this rapidly evolving, loosely connected world of startups? Who will provide smart practices and an open community of engaged and experienced investors and market participants? ACA will.

Writer Ayzia Vizcocho notes, “Crunchbase data shows that funding to Hispanic and Latine founders increased from $1.7 billion in 2017 to $6.8 billion in 2021. Unfortunately, that growth only rose slightly compared to overall U.S. venture capital investments, leaving Hispanic and Latine startup funding stuck at around 2% of overall startup investments.”
