If you are looking for something to do with the family during the holiday, Coolidge Parks and Recreation has invited families to Kenilworth Sports Complex on Saturday for a morning filled with holiday fun. Speaking of Coolidge, the city’s little league had its big celebration to commemorate the beginning of a new season last weekend. During Coolidge Little League’s opening ceremony, the community participated in a silent auction and 50/50 raffle, purchased a meal and snacks from food trucks and did some shopping at vendor booths.

Plus, in Maricopa, residents have a new restaurant to try! Nando’s Mexican Cafe on Tuesday celebrated its long-awaited opening with a Maricopa Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting. The restaurant, which first opened in Gilbert in 2003, will be open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Nando’s Mexican Cafe serves classic Mexican dishes and has a full bar.
