Speaking of Coolidge, the city’s little league had its big celebration to commemorate the beginning of a new season last weekend. During Coolidge Little League’s opening ceremony, the community participated in a silent auction and 50/50 raffle, purchased a meal and snacks from food trucks and did some shopping at vendor booths.
Plus, in Maricopa, residents have a new restaurant to try! Nando’s Mexican Cafe on Tuesday celebrated its long-awaited opening with a Maricopa Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting. The restaurant, which first opened in Gilbert in 2003, will be open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Nando’s Mexican Cafe serves classic Mexican dishes and has a full bar.
The music, the margaritas and of course, the mouthwatering tacos will take center stage as Casa Grande’s first Southwest Taco Fest gets underway Saturday, March 30, in tranquil, tree-lined Dave White Regional Park.
A group of Pinal County celebrities put on their dancing shoes Saturday and threw their hats in the ring for the annual big fundraiser competition Dancing for Our Stars.
Winners have been announced in the Arizona State Parks and Trails photo competition, and photos taken in Picacho Peak State Park and Lost Dutchman State Park are among the winners.
