Another big event happening this weekend is the Apache Junction centennial celebration. The city’s celebration of its 100th birthday on Saturday will include live music, a burro derby, a pie-eating content and plenty of other fun activities.

The fiddles, mandolins and guitars will be strumming Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 8 and 9,as the Agri-Country Bluegrass Festival returns to the Pinal Fairgrounds and Event Center.
