Dear RJ,

Aside from the dreaded “dad jokes” and some decidedly dodgy DIY, there are few things more iconically fatherly than going fishing on a lazy afternoon. So, to celebrate Father’s Day this year, we have a new card based on the theme of fishing and, in this instance, some rather deftly-done DIY to boot!

Fans of classical music may recognise the jaunty little tune which accompanies the card: it is of course the well-known melody from Franz Schubert’s “Trout” Quintet – a melody which Schubert himself borrowed from his earlier song “The Trout”. An appropriate musical companion for a fishing card, we thought!

Of course, fishing isn’t every dad’s favourite pastime, so we’ve linked some of our other Father’s Day cards from over the years. With everything from classic cars, green-fingered gardening, and barbecues fit for a king, there’s a perfect card for every dad!
