My Fellow Pinotphiles… Do I have a rare treat for you! What if I told you we just landed a beautifully aged 11 Year Old Pinotfrom one of California’s most coveted Coastal Regions?
This wine comes from the Santa Maria Valley, the iconic former Addamo Estatesite known for cool ocean breezes, sandy soils, and an extra-long growing season that creates some of the most graceful, expressive Pinot in the state. It’s about 10 miles from the Pacific, and when I say this is textbook coastal California Pinot, I mean it.
And here’s the wild part. It spent years aging in oak, stainless steel, and bottle before release. Most wineries would have rushed something like this to market years ago. Not here. They waited, and the result is a wine that’s soft, layered, complex and drinking at its absolute peak right now.
When I tasted it, I was blown away by the balance of ripe raspberry, black tea, spice, and those savory herbal notes that only come from aged Pinot grown in great terroir. It’s medium-bodied, silky on the palate, and just so easy to keep sipping.
This goes for $75 retail, so at under $30, this kind of aged, organically farmed, estate Pinot doesn’t come around often.

This is one of those wines that feels tailor-made for food—think roast chicken, grilled salmon, pork tenderloin, mushroom risotto. But it’s just as rewarding on its own, especially with the kind of detail and nuance that only time can bring.
The production and allocation here is minuscule, and once it’s gone, that’s it.
