It’s once again time for fans to help decide which players are worthy of being named to the All-MLB Team.
Unlike the Most Valuable Player and Cy Young Awards, which are awarded to one player in both the American League and National League, the All-MLB Team recognizes the best player(s) at each position across the Majors, as a whole.
Nominees were announced on Thursday for the 2022 All-MLB Team, which — as in each of the past three years — will be split into a First and Second Team. Fans can vote once every 24 hours between now and 5 p.m. ET on Nov. 22, with 50% of the vote coming from fans and 50% coming from a panel of experts. Winners will be announced on MLB Network at 8 p.m. ET on Dec. 5.
Here is a year-by-year breakdown of all the players who received qualifying offers over the system’s first 10 seasons and how they responded. Also included is the Draft picks teams received as compensation for losing free agents who rejected qualifying offers.
Just 10 percent of the 110 qualifying offers that have been received in the past 10 offseasons have been accepted, but six of those have come in the past four years.
