Research shows that just 19% of the people that create habits will end up sticking to them for the long haul…
We’ve all been there.
You’re fired up, ready to take on a new habit that promises to change your life.
You start with enthusiasm, but within a few weeks or even days, that spark fades, and you drop the habit without even thinking about it.
Sound familiar?
For most of us, making habits stick seems like an impossible task.
But what if I told you there was a bulletproof way to create any habit and make it last?
Thanks to James Clear, the author of the bestselling book ‘Atomic Habits’, we have a clear roadmap.
He talks about ‘The Four Laws of Behavior Change,’ and if you perfect each of these steps, there’s virtually no way you won’t succeed in sticking to the habit of your choice.
Here’s the breakdown:
Step #1: Make it Obvious
Begin by making your new habit highly visible.
Put reminders on your phone, sticky notes around your work area, or even set alarms.
The goal?
Make the habit so clear and present in your daily life that it’s impossible to overlook.
Example: You want to read more. Start leaving your book on your bed so you can’t go to bed without noticing it.
Step #2: Make it Attractive
Link your habit to something you love or reward yourself for consistency.
The more appealing the habit feels, the more motivated you’ll be to continue it.
Example: You want to call your family more often. Allow yourself to enjoy your favorite snack while you talk to them.
Step #3: Make it Easy
Reduce friction.
Start with small steps.
Make the habit so simple that it’s harder not to do it.
Example: You want to exercise more often.
Start with a 5-minute walk every day, and slowly increase the time spent walking every week.
Step #4: Make it Satisfying
Reward yourself when you stick to your habits.
This positive reinforcement will make it all the more enticing to continue.
Whether it’s a treat, a tick on your habit tracker, or just the satisfying feeling of accomplishment – make sure it feels good to finish the habit.
After all, you deserve it!
——
Mastering the art of habit formation isn’t just about willpower; it’s about strategy.
And with these four laws, you have a strategy that works.
It’s time to be join the group that not only starts a new habit but makes it last.
With immense gratitude,
The Habit Nest Team

Our mission is to support humans in pursuing their goals through tools that foster consistency and structure.
Why You’re Probably Here & How We Can Help: Humans adapt new habits because they want to feel good. They want to alleviate other issues taking up real estate of the mind (mental health, physical health). They are inherently optimistic because they believe and hope they can change positively. They know if they put their mind to something, then it can happen – so they start off strong but quickly their consistency diminishes. Life gets in the way. They tell themselves: “I’ll get back on track tomorrow.” “I don’t have the time now. I don’t have the energy now. I don’t know how to give myself structure.” “Maybe if I had an accountability buddy.” “Maybe if I had a fancy sleep tracking ring.” “Maybe if I write a motivational post-it on my computer, it’ll help.” Maybe this. Maybe that. And then they fall out of the improvement loop, leaving the resolution unfinished. However. When someone is matched with an authentic tool that gives them consistency, structure, and the why behind all of the steps, then they are already 75% on the way to meeting their goal. But such tools are hard to find. If they provide habit tracking, they don’t provide compassion when there’s a day or two that goes by without tracking. If they provide knowledge and science, they don’t provide a practical structure. Habit Nest has created a suite of accessible habit-forming tools to cater to the individual seeking guidance in consistency, and can bring them true results with mindfulness on their side.
Frequently Asked Questions: What are the journals made from? The journal is built with a beautifully crafted synthetic leather (100% vegan) cover that’s textured to the touch in a hearty, canvas-like material. The inside pages are a buttery smooth 100 GSM that are the perfect mix of thick enough to support fountain pens while still keeping the journal light and portable. Can I choose a different color for my journal? We don’t, unfortunately, offer any other colors. What some folks do, however, is cover their journal, like we did with textbooks back in the day. What’s the difference between the app and the journals? The app is our journals in book form. There are some similarities with content, but we added some new stuff all over the place. The subscription is for *all* habits, not just one habit at a time and you can do as many simultaneously as you’re comfortable with. We are planning on releasing new habits every couple of months as well. Currently, the app has: Morning Sidekick Journal Volumes 1-3 Gratitude Sidekick Journal Volumes 1-3 (volumes 2 & 3 are brand new!) Sleep & Evening Routine Sidekick Journal Volumes 1-3 (volumes 2&3 are brand new!) Nutrition Sidekick Journal Volumes 1-3 (volumes 2&3 are brand new!) Meditation Sidekick Journal Volumes 1-3 (volumes 2&3 are brand new and we added some awesome guided meditations that are totally different and way more in number than appeared in volume 1 of the print copy) Healthy Screen Time Usage (brand new, not yet in print!) Stretching (brand new, not yet in print!) Yoga (brand new, not yet in print!) Home Organization (brand new, not yet in print!) Our fitness journals will be added very soon too. What’s the difference between the PDFs and journals? The PDF is exactly the same as the physical journal, it’s just in digital format so you can fill it out on a laptop or tablet (some folks have success using their phones, but depending upon the journal, it can be a pretty big file). You can also print out different pages as you want them. 🙂 Your journals are too expensive. First and foremost, thank you so much for checking us out! If you select “journal only” or “PDF only” from the dropdown, the cost goes down. ” Here’s why they are not crazy cheap, though: 1. These are a hybrid of a book with real life, actionable content you can use immediately AND a guided journal, not just a blank journal. 2. Each journal is made of high quality materials (e.g. thick paper that you can use “the good pens” on and sturdy, hard covers) 3. We don’t sell the journals and tell you to figure it out. You have a whole team of folks who are available to support you along your journal journey. If you purchase the hard copy journal and find that it just doesn’t work for you, we have a 60 day refund, no matter what condition it’s in. 🙂 Any questions? Email us at support@habitnest.com. We’re happy to help.I have product suggestions/edits/other input. Wohoo! WE LOOVE hearing from you, good/bad/otherwise. YOU are who we are making these for and we want to create the best product we can. Never hesitate to reach out with any and all feedback you have at support@habitnest.com. We appreciate you! Do you sell the WGBJ/MSJ volumes 2, 3 and 4 separately? This is something we talked a lot about, but it simply became too hard to balance inventory levels / forecast demand for all 4 books and volumes separately, so we chose to sell them as a bundled, discounted set only, which has made logistics SO much simpler. We did price these so that our volumes 2-4 that are super-discounted, though!
