I’m writing to share an important update regarding our planned affiliation with the University of Idaho. After thoughtful consideration, University of Phoenix and the University of Idaho have agreed to end our exploration of the affiliation with University of Idaho and end our agreement with Four Three Education, a non-profit affiliated with University of Idaho, for the acquisition of University of Phoenix
I want to thank you for your patience and understanding as we pursued this innovative plan, and for your continued support in our process of exploring pathways to long-term ownership. We appreciate the hard work and enthusiasm that our alumni contributed to this process and want to recognize the many of you who invested a significant amount of time and personal effort into sharing your stories with the U of I and Idaho state leaders.
While we are ultimately not completing the affiliation, your stories resonated deeply with Idaho leaders providing a lasting positive impression of the values, determination, and hard work that our students and alumni demonstrate every day. You are proof of the results that come from supporting working adults and other non-traditional students, and our partners in Idaho continually expressed their high respect for your achievements – a key reason they sought an affiliation with us in the first place.
Moving forward, we remain an independent private university and are excited about the possibilities the future holds. Nothing will change in our day-to-day operations, and our alumni services, including Career Services for Life, remain a high priority. Moving forward, we will continue to explore opportunities to enhance the University’s standing as an industry leader and shape the future of higher education.
Thank you for your enthusiasm and engagement throughout this process. While we set out to achieve a different outcome, the University continues to be in a strong position, and we remain committed to being a leading provider of accessible, career-relevant online education. If you have questions about the affiliation, or anything else, please send an email to UOPXTransactionQuestions@phoenix.edu and our team will respond promptly. |
