“Kitten season” sounds cute, but it’s one of the most challenging times of the year for both young cat families and for animal lovers like us.

Tiny, helpless newborns – some just hours old – arrive in boxes or in carriers, sometimes even alone. Many are weak, malnourished and struggling to survive. These poor animals flood our nursery, spread our resources thin and just about break our hearts with their tiny cries.
