Meet your guide, Tom!

Tom Capo is a California based wine writer and reviewer with over two decades of experience tasting the wines of the world. From restaurants on the East Coast to wine bars, retailers and tasting rooms on the West Coast, as well as his own boutique wine brokerage, Capo has done everything in the world of wine but make the stuff himself. He’s been a resident of Sonoma County since 2019, where he lives on a small apple orchard with his wife Allison, daughter Liliana and a dog named Ziggy Stardust. He reviews and covers Sonoma County, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and Louisiana for Wine Enthusiast.

Get to know your fellow oenophiles over a curated tasting that includes acclaimed wines from the Valette portfolio.

Wine Country Elegance

Begin with Aperture Cellars’ expressive Bordeaux wines, then explore Chalk Hill Estate’s lush gardens and enjoy a paired lunch. Conclude the day with a tasting of Ridge Vineyards’ minimal intervention, old vine wines.

Tradition and Terroir in Every Sip

Taste Hamel Winery’s volcanic soil wines. Tour and taste organic Bordeaux-style wines at Stone Edge Farm. Visit Three Sticks Wine for a historic tour and Pinot Noir/Chardonnay tasting. Conclude with a Sangiacomo Family Wines tasting, highlighting their farming history.

A Festive Farewell

Start with a historical tasting at Williams Selyem, experiencing their unique foot-treaded wines and the Russian River Valley’s legacy. Conclude with a celebratory sparkling wine lunch at J Vineyards & Winery before departing Sonoma.
