We are deeply saddened at the passing of Eddie Jordan, the legendary F1 team owner, at the age of 76.
Born in Dublin, Ireland, Jordan was a much-loved protagonist in a storied era of F1. As F1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali shared, “In this moment of sorrow, my thoughts and those of the entire Formula 1 family are with his family and loved ones.”
Initially climbing the ladder as a budding racer, Jordan then turned his attention to team ownership, with the team that bears his name wining four Grands Prix between 1991-2005 and giving Michael Schumacher his Formula 1 debut.
His passing is a deep loss to the motorsport community, and the world.
