Experiencing a little cabin fever? How about planning to join us for three upcoming Rambles to great destinations of railroading, scenic, historic and cultural interest?! Rambles are customized for your enjoyment, whether a day trip, a week-long excursion or even international travel.
Woodstown & Winterthur Ramble. Saturday, May 10, 2025. Highlights of this Ramble include:

● A 32-mile roundtrip train ride on the Woodstown Central Railroad through the southern New Jersey countryside, over historic rail lines chartered as far back as 1856.

● Lunch at the Creekside Inn.

● Admission to the famed Winterthur Museum, Garden and Library. Located in northern Delaware, Winterthur is the premier museum of American decorative arts, displayed in a magnificent 175-room house and 60 acres of gardens.

● Dinner at the Mendenhall Inn.

Rates are $349.00 per person for current members of the Friends of the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania and $369.00 per person for non-members. The deadline for registration is March 17, 2025. Call after March 17 to check for availability.

Boonton & Black River Ramble. Saturday. June 14, 2025. Highlights of this Ramble include:

● A tour of the railroad collection of the United Railroad Historical Society of New Jersey, in Boonton, including restoration projects in progress.

● A catered lunch on site in the yard of the United Railroad Historical Society of New Jersey.

● An hour-long train ride on the Black River & Western Railroad, founded in the early 1960s by a group of friends with an interest in steam railroading.

● Dinner at the Clinton Station Diner in a restored 1927 train car.

Rates are $319.00 per person for current members of the Friends of the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania and $339.00 per person for non-members. The deadline for registration is April 14, 2025.  Call after April 14 to check for availability.

Quebec & the Northern Tier Ramble. Tuesday, September 9 through Monday, September 15, 2025. It’s time to get your passport in order! Highlights of this Ramble include:

● A train ride on the Saratoga, Corinth & Hudson Railway in Saratoga Springs, New York.

● A visit to ExpoRail, Canada’s largest railway museum.

● A guided tour of captivating Montreal.

● A guided tour of historic Quebec City.

● A scenic roundtrip train ride on the Train de Charlevoix from Quebec City to Baies-Saint-Paul along the Saint Lawrence River.

● A train ride on the Champlain Valley Dinner Train in Burlington, Vermont.

● A visit to the University of Vermont’s Morgan horse farmin Middlebury, Vermont.

Also included are six nights hotel accommodations and six breakfasts, three lunches and four dinners. Rates begin at $3,964.00 per person double occupancy for current members of the Friends of the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania and $3,999.00 per person for non-members. The deadline for registration is May 1, 2025. Call after May 1 to check for availability.
