Now it is a more mature garden, but with many new enchanting features. We are placing sails, tables and chairs and hammocks to make this a restoring place where people can come to eat a homemade vegetable lasagna or a fig pie (made from figs of our trees), read a book, do yoga, work with their computer… to find the peace we all need, among lovely creatures. We even have two turkeys, and the girl, Gwendolyn is very sweet and comes to be petted.
We have many very old cats who need kidney care food, recovery food and supplements for the muscle loss (which makes walking for them painful). We need medications such as injections to keep their arthritis under control and make them comfortable. Many have incurable illnesses but with the right resources, we can manage their conditions and give them quality of life. It is painful to see them lose weight, simply because they need dental care. But cleanings and oral surgeries are costly.
I am selling 5.7 acres of my land to have some money for our creatures, all of them. My home is on a reverse mortgage for the same reason. All is in a trust that will allow our good people to ensure the Goathouse can continue as a place for many more creatures in need for many, many years after when I will be watching from the other side. I am asking you to please give us a hand to raise at least $50,000 to help with our expenses and all of our animals’ needs.
