In our earliest days as an ecard company, we had to learn some fundamental differences between us Brits and our transatlantic cousins. One of the most perplexing of these was that, while Valentine’s Day cards and gifts are generally reserved for romantic relationships here, our friends across the pond seem to send them to almost anyone!

Perhaps as a result of this, our recent Valentine’s Day cards have strayed a little from the usual floral displays in pretty pinks and romantic reds. But this year, we have returned to these roots with a lovely picnic in a garden adorned with flourishing flowers, hordes of hearts and some delicious-looking cakes – all prepared by a gaggle of gnomish helpers.
