‘Vision: Elon Musk’s Story’ Premieres Sunday at 9

The worldwide impact of Elon Musk, not only through his entrepreneurial advances in technology and space, but more recently via his impassioned fight against censorship, is the subject of a dynamic new documentary from Newsmax.

Through video clips, interview sound bites, and historical footage, “Vision: Elon Musk’s Story,” which premieres Sunday at 9 p.m. ET, tells the story of how the billionaire businessman has transcended beyond his visionary innovations to become a free speech warrior.

The film, produced by Keith Neubert of Breakwater Entertainment, expounds on how the electric vehicle pioneer, once adored by the left, has metamorphosed into a trusted confidante of President Donald Trump.

It highlights the alliance between the two, and how it stands to change government and the course of history as Musk now leads the new Department of Government Efficiency.

“This is a guy out of fiction, or maybe science fiction. He dreams big, he does big things, and he really doesn’t care what people think of him,” Newsmax contributor Mark Halperin, journalist/author, says in the film.

“He’s becoming a master of the universe right before our eyes,” Republican strategist and fellow Newsmax contributor Ford O’Connell adds.

But it’s the tech genius’ fervent belief that “suppression of information is the biggest threat to democracy” that has made him such a dynamic force.

The film describes his acquisition of Twitter in 2022 and subsequent release of the Twitter files, which exposed censorship, corruption, and collusion between government and Big Tech and pitted him against media elites who don’t hold free speech sacred.

“Elon Musk has picked up the mantle of free speech warrior. I believe it all comes from the understanding that free speech is the bedrock of society, and he knows we have to fight for it,” says Kara Frederick, tech policy director of The Heritage Foundation.

She noted how he came on the scene and said, “I am a free speech absolutist” and restored Americans’ concept of the fundamental right to free speech.

As Musk himself put it, “In order for something to serve as a digital town square, it must serve people from all political persuasions. You know free speech is meaningless unless you allow people you don’t like to say things you don’t like. Otherwise, it’s irrelevant.”

That’s why the serial innovator’s transformation of life as we know it, with his generational advances in technology and outer space and ability to think beyond conventional boundaries, can’t be understated. Examined are his out-of-this-world contributions of SpaceX and his boundless vision for the future of humanity … as a multiplanetary species.

Still, it’s his partnership with Trump, his challenging of the establishment and the deep state, how he rocked the Washington bureaucracy and what it means for the country moving forward, that brings him into sharp focus.

“It’s amazing how one man can do all this. And it is one mind. There’s so many people that contributed and helped him but take Elon Musk out of that equation and none of it happens,” author and reporter Matthew Lysiak says. “It’s impressive. It’s kind of a testament to the human spirit.”
