When a star exits, his former team might look to free agency or the trade market to find his replacement. Often, though, the answer must come from within.

It’s a bit of an inexact science since players have until Dec. 15 to come to agreements with clubs, but MLB Pipeline has identified the teams that have landed an impressive haul to this point.

So far, there have been four young stars who have earned their teams extra Draft picks through the Prospect Promotion Incentive. There are more than 100 eligible players in 2025 who could do the same.
