Trump’s pick for Secretary of Defense, Fox News commentator Pete Hegseth, had his confirmation hearing this week—and his testimony showed the whole country how unfit he is to serve this position.

It was uncovered that as recently as two months ago, Hegseth said women should “straight up” not serve in combat roles. When confronted with his own words at the hearing, he claimed, without proof, that the military has lowered standards for women to serve. Fact check: This is FALSE!!!

On top of all of this, he refused to take responsibility for allegations of sexual misconduct, calling the claims a “coordinated smear campaign.” Asking questions about credible accusations is now a smear campaign? Really?

This man cannot lead the Department of Defense. His views and lack of leadership will only harm our military and the brave men and women who serve.
