Sounds simple. At the beginning of the season, MLB.com researchers and analysts were asked to answer the question: Who will be the best players in baseball this season? Here’s how they did.

Devin Williams and his diabolical “Airbender” changeup are now in the Bronx, and the two-time All-Star closer said “it’s a tremendous honor to be able to play for this organization.”

Hayden Wesneski was golfing in a suburb of Houston, his hometown, when he got word he was being traded from the Cubs to the Astros. As he said, “It’s just a dream come true kind of thing.”

Cody Bellinger won’t be the first member of his family in pinstripes. His dad, Clay Bellinger, won two World Series with the Yankees in 1999 and 2000. Further, Clay and Cody will be the fourth father-son duo to play for the franchise.
