Pirates phenom Paul Skenes and Yankees righty Luis Gil are the first pair of starting pitchers to be voted Rookies of the Year since the Dodgers’ Fernando Valenzuela and the Yankees’ Dave Righetti 43 years ago.

There have been 156 players named Rookie of the Year since the award was introduced in 1947, and we’ve ranked them all.

Check out the point totals for the balloting for the 2024 Rookie of the Year Awards, as voted on by members of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America.

The Hall of Fame ballot for the Class of 2025 features two powerhouse newcomers, the last chance for a dominant closer, longtime superstar outfielders continuing their push toward Cooperstown and more.

There are a few potential Hall of Famers who could get 100 percent of the vote, beginning with one player on this year’s ballot.

Since 2014, there have been 16 players elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in their first year on the Baseball Writers’ Association of America ballot. You should expect that number to go up with this year’s class.

The top skipper in each league will be honored by the BBWAA with the 2024 Manager of the Year Awards live at 6 p.m. ET on MLB Network.
