The Opportunity:
As a Water Conservation Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing hydrological data to inform water management decisions. You’ll use your expertise in data science and hydrology to develop insights that guide our preservation efforts across various water bodies and watersheds.
What your day will look like:
In this role you will:
– Lead a team of hydrological data experts, responsible for analyzing water quality trends and aquatic ecosystem health indicators.
– Drive analytics projects that bring deep insight into water cycle dynamics and the impact of conservation efforts.
– Build key relationships with global water conservation partners to drive our water protection agenda.
– Be seen as a thought leader on water-based solutions with an inherent belief in evidence-based water conservation practices.
– Conduct in-depth analysis of aquatic species populations and water body conditions.
– Review our water conservation strategies to drive continuous improvement.
– Ensure our initiatives support and promote water biodiversity and hydrological resilience.
What we are looking for in you:
– An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in hydrology, environmental science, or related field, with an exceptional academic track record.
– Strong analytical mindset with solid evidence of driving data projects in water conservation or management.
– Skilled in R or Python, GIS software, and building hydrological databases.
– Exceptional experience leading analytical teams and projects that drive water conservation outcomes.
– A thought leader in the water conservation space with the ability to influence best practices in water resource management.
– Good exposure to key water conservation topics: water quality assessment, watershed restoration, climate change impacts on water resources, and sustainable water use management.
– Proven ability to work with stakeholders to drive professional water conservation strategies and challenge the status quo.
– Willingness to participate in field research at various water bodies 2-4 times a year.
