He explains the origins of 1960s radicalism and its rejection of midcentury liberalism; he reveals how these radicals came to dominate government and the universities beginning in the late 1970s; and he explores the rise of a neoliberal oligarchy in America and that oligarchy’s alliance with the cultural Left in President Obama’s second term.
This course seeks to understand the key people, ideas, and aims of the modern Left and to provide solutions for defending the American way of life today.
