The business of history
Hi friend, it’s Ken Burns.
I am in the business of history. I’ve spent my life learning about America’s past and understanding the challenges our democratic system of government has faced. From Ben Franklin to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania has always played a critical role in shaping our democracy — and it has the chance to do so again this year.
Bob Casey shares my love for learning American history, and he understands the importance of preserving our system of government that respects and listens to all of its citizens. He also understands that the democratic values that make up the very fabric of our nation are at risk of unraveling.
The GOP is spending $100 million against Bob to buy this seat, meaning this race is the second most expensive in the entire country and is on track to become one of the most expensive in history. With a recent poll showing that Bob is tied with his Trump-backed opponent, David McCormick, he needs all of our support to keep up.
This November, our country stands at a crossroads, and it’s up to us to decide which direction we’ll take. If we’re going to elect Kamala Harris as the first woman president, defend our Senate majority, and protect our very democracy, we must re-elect Bob Casey and keep Pennsylvania blue.
So I’ll ask you again, friend: will you please donate to Bob’s campaign today?
Please use the links in this email to start a weekly donation through ActBlue.
Thank you for joining me in supporting Bob Casey, and playing a part in shaping the history of our country.
