Coach Mike McDaniel has a type and Wright fits the bill. A former state champion sprinter, Wright led his college team in rushing yards each of the past two seasons. Interestingly, the Dolphins logged the most offensive touches of at least 20 mph last season. The rookie is a high-ceiling dart throw in deep leagues.
Ferguson may not thrill with flashy metrics or huge touchdown totals, but the 25-year-old emerged as Dak Prescott’s second-favorite target last year. Drawing 23 red zone looks, Ferguson closed out the season second on the Cowboys in receptions and receiving yards, trailing only CeeDee Lamb.
Murray managed top-12 positional numbers in six of eight games played last season, including racking up 244 total rushing yards whilst averaging 30.5 rushing yards per game, despite missing the first nine weeks of 2023. The Cardinals upgraded the receiver room, giving Murray a chance to clear 3,500 passing yards.
Can Nacua repeat his breakout rookie season with a healthy Cooper Kupp in the fold? Over the 12 games in which Nacua and Kupp shared the field, Nacua tallied more targets, catches and receiving yards. Even if Nacua were to slip to the No. 2 spot, Sean McVay’s offense provides him with easy top-30 appeal.
Despite shaky QB play, McLaurin has logged at least 70 catches and 1,000 yards in each of the past four seasons. With a new OC, and a new QB in rookie Jayden Daniels, he figures to match last season’s totals. Currently the 34th WR off the board in drafts, McLaurin offers WR2 potential at a WR3 price.
Hubbard saw three carries for 15 yards in the preseason finale, but his rise in ADP is due to his likely role as the Panthers’ Week 1 starter. Rookie Jonathon Brooks will miss the first four weeks and coaches have indicated that Miles Sanders will come off the bench. The Panthers’ offense could struggle, but Hubbard is the backfield choice to draft.
Nick Chubb Cleveland Browns
Chubb was being drafted a round earlier than backfield-mate Jerome Ford, but that trend is reversing now that the Browns have announced that Chubb will open the season on the PUP list. With Chubb out for a minimum of four weeks, Jerome Ford is expected to get the majority of carries to start the season, with Pierre Strong Jr. serving as the backup.
