Back to this newsletter. Do you love Mediterranean food? You know: kabobs, hummus—that type of stuff? I’ve got just the place for you.
It is none other than Persian Room. I have been going there for years (15+). Before you order, you are served a plate of onions, “bread” and butter—it’s a nice snack until you get your regular dish.
I got the beef koobideh. The portions are massive. I prefer to get half salad/half rice. It comes with “dressing” but I get a side of dressing, and it is soooooooogood. The beef is perfectly cooked, tasty, full of yummy spices and oh so good. You could probably make a “wrap” by putting the beef in the bread with onion. The rice is also tasty, and if you want to add the butter you can. You have everything you need!
If you are looking for a quick meal, this likely isn’t the spot. However, everything is cooked fresh, and honestly, sometimes the service is slow. So, be ready to have a conversation with whoever you go with 😉
The room is dark(er), so it is meant to be me “intimate” but really it is just dark. And there are fountains in and outside.
Pro Tip-eat more of the bread 🙂
And maybe the best part—you have leftovers. I don’t care for the time it takes to eat/wait but I have gone many many times. And will keep going. Prices are higher. But you pay for quality food. 2 thumbs up from me and I encourage you to check them out or go back if you haven’t been in a while.
