Fall Education Programs

The Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania is pleased to announce its fall 2024 schedule of education programs.

Railroading Merit Badge Workshops. The Museum is the perfect setting for boys and girls, ages 11 to 17, to earn the merit badge in railroading. Workshops feature various railroad-themed activities including tours, demonstrations, historic artifacts and a G-scale model railroad simulation. All requirements are fulfilled in a single day.

Sensory Saturdays. The Museum reduces lighting and sounds and maintains a low attendance, with quiet spaces set up for breaks, for individuals with special sensory needs. A few of the historic trains will be open, with Museum staff present to answer questions.

Story Time With The Educator. Children ages 2 through preK enjoy the reading of an engaging featured book, followed by a fun craft activity.
