Special Report: An In-depth Review of the T1D Fund

Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) launched the subsidiary T1D Fund in 2016 as a venture philanthropy fund. With type 1 diabetes as the sole focus, the Fund’s mission is to “accelerate, life-changing solutions to cure, prevent and treat type 1 diabetes (T1D) through equity investments.” 

The attached report is a comprehensive analysis evaluating the Fund’s financial decisions—including investments and exits—and assessing the Fund’s progress in pushing forward a T1D cure.
