2. The RBC Canadian Open is regarded as the most prestigious tournament never won by Jack Nicklaus, a seven-time runner-up.
3. In 2009, Mark Calcavecchia made nine consecutive birdies during the second round, breaking the PGA Tour record.
4. The top three golfers on the Mackenzie Tour – PGA Tour Canada Order of Merit prior to the tournament are given entry into the Canadian Open.
5. Last year Nick Taylor became the first Canadian in 69 years to win the event (since Pat Fletcher in 1954).
