Good morning RJ,
A very special gift from two retired teachers at San Tan Heights K-8 School is making a small, but meaningful, difference in the lives of young learners at the school. Every kindergarten student at the school will receive their own copy of this classic written by Dr. Seuss thanks to an ongoing gift.
Speaking of making an impact on young minds, the Coolidge Cotton Patchers also hoped to do the same with their first youth class. The class taught Girls Scouts from Troop 199 how to make a pillowcase for the Cotton Patcher’s Quilts of Valor project. Here’s some insight into how it all came about.
Plus, in regional news, a new law signed by California Governor Gavin Newsom temporarily allows Arizona doctors to go to California to perform abortions. You can find out more about that law here. |
