Good morning RJ,
We start today with education news, as the Coolidge High School SkillsUSA chapter hopes to make its school and community proud when it competes at state March 28-29 in Phoenix. Last year, two senior students placed in the top three for extemporaneous speaking and job interview at regionals out of the six who attended.
Meanwhile, the Black Maricopa Chamber of Commerce will host the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Symposium at the Maricopa Library next Saturday. The focus of the event will be to share ways the community and individuals can benefit from an education in and passion for diversity.
Plus, in sports, the Maricopa baseball team is off to a hot start in the 2024 season. The senior-heavy roster is hoping that this is the year the playoff drought ends as the last time the program had a postseason appearance was in 2016. Read the full season preview here. |
