OPINION:
Indiana’s Bill No. 1171 Strengthens Bans on Foreign Hostile Entities: China, Iran, Russia, North Korea…
Full Text of Bill No, 1171 Here
What is the role of U.S. states in this war with China, Russia and Iran? I’d say everything other than military (kinetic). A strong role by states is needed for non-kinetic warfare. States might think about stepping up fast. Can we wait 16 months with states planning light election year legislation sessions in 2024?
Indiana’s No. 1171 is good action against foreign hostile entities including China. Now, other states will hopefully follow and completely decouple from China. States need civil defense plans focused on the China threat: cyber, electrical grid, water security and food security etc. A task force is required by each state to closely monitor new and rapidly emerging threats from China.
China’s coercion rollout is now exponential, and we can expect new hostile actions on a weekly basis if not daily. What affect do these China aggressions have on the livelihoods and security of U.S. citizens state by state?
There is an opportunity for states to incentivize capital for domestic secured manufacturing. In Indiana, pharma goods are a glaring example of this opportunity juxtaposed against China aggression. Indiana could incentivize pharma manufacturing for the U.S market providing medical security. The federal level cannot handle too many tasks at a time thus leaving important security matters to states.
“I DON’T BUY IT” U.S. states need to step up! Do you believe China’s economy is collapsing? Gordon Chang wrote a book stating this 20 years ago which served to lobotomize the U.S. as CCP metastasized. The China economy collapsing narrative does zombie U.S. policy makers. I am seeing a typical CCP sympathy attract capital playbook as CCP converts from the factory to the world to producing and dumping state subsidized big-ticket goods on a large scale globally. 2023 saw China unveil their home-produced luxury jetliner to compete with Boeing and Airbus. 2023 also saw China launch their first home-grown mega cruise ship. In production today in China are hundreds of cargo vessels designed to transport EVs.
A strong solution is required. It is decoupling from China, backer of Russia and Iran. China’s only official ally is North Korea. Move capital in U.S. to next-level innovation and ingenuity making in USA and paying down our debt.
