Visit our Holiday Decor!   Now through January 7

The Hayner welcomes families and friends to tour all the latest holiday décor installations. Every room of the house has been adopted by a local designer and transformed into a holiday wonderland. This year our designers are Mary Nilsen and crew in the Courtyard, East Room, Lower Hall and staircase. David Fair and Company are designing the Study. The Solarium is re-envisioned by Towne Valley Gifts and StoryPoint Troy has the décor for the Upper Stair. Artists Kelly Rank and Ginger Godfrey transformed the Art Gallery; Your Personal Florist will re-create the Parlor. The Conference Room has fresh designs by Sheila Fulks and James Novotny. Georgia Bayman adds her touch to the Boardroom and West Room. The Hayner’s Exhibit Committee and the Upper Valley Fiber Guild make their mark on the exhibit areas and Hayner’s own Zoe Darner has designs for the Ballroom.
Mountain Dulcimer Society of Dayton teams up with the Hayner for Dulcimer Concert on January 19 at 7:30 pm
Pam Bowman has been performing on the hammered dulcimer for over 25 years as a soloist and as a duo with guitarist Jeff Gardner. She gives both private lessons and group lessons in her hometown of Marion, Michigan.

Hayner’s Drawing Room Chamber Concert for January will feature Aaron Brant, French horn and Amanda Roberts on piano. Aaron Brant is the principal horn for the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra. He is also a member of the Dayton Philharmonic Brass Quintet and Carillon Brass. He has performed with a wide range of crossover jazz and pop artists like Josh Groban, Diana Krall, Mannheim Steamroller and Andrea Bocelli. Aaron was also principal horn for the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, the South Bend Symphony and a member of the Ann Arbor Symphony. The series is hosted by Steven Aldredge who is Music Director of Opera at Wright State University and is a collaborative pianist and composer in his own right. This free series is an intimate experience that allows concert musicians the opportunity to speak directly to the audience about what inspires them about their selections. The series is free to the public and an excellent opportunity for students of music to gain new perspective on their instruments from professional musicians. The Drawing Room Chamber Concert series is presented free to the public through the generosity of the citizens of Troy, our loyal sponsors and the Friends of Hayner members.
