Federal authorities arrested three men for operating a high-end sex ring catering to potentially hundreds of well-connected clients, including politicians, military officers, contractors, and technology and pharmaceutical executives.
The secret brothels were located outside of Boston and Washington D.C. and charged up to $600 an hour. Some paid a monthly fee to be pre-cleared for sex, similar to a TSA pre-check for flying.
None of the wealthy clients have been charged or identified yet, but customers had to fill out forms that required names, addresses, employers, and even a reference if one was available.
Israel Agrees to Pauses in Gaza Assault
Israel agreed to pause its assault against Hamas for four hours on some days to allow humanitarian aid to enter northern Gaza, the first formalized pause in the war since Hamas attacked Israel on Oct. 7.
The Israeli and U.S. governments hope the pauses will help facilitate negotiations over the fate of over 200 hostages still held by Hamas. Indirect talks are taking place in Qatar involving the U.S., the Israeli Mossad, and Qatar’s prime minister.
There was a dispute over whether the pauses would be daily or occasional, with Israel saying the war would continue without a stop except for a “few hours here or a few hours there.”
List: Ranking Credit Scores by State
A new report shows that the average credit scores for Americans are pretty good overall, but they vary by state, with Minnesota having the highest average score at 726, as measured by the major credit bureaus.
Generally, the Midwest, Northwest, and Northeast have higher average scores, and the Southeast and Southwest a bit lower. The state with the lowest average credit score is Mississippi at 673, still considered to be in the “good” range.
